Nike pulls shoes; Kap says its racist

But it wasn’t about the flag. Remember that lie?

I guess I find it interesting that the shoe can go through planning, development, production and sign off by supposedly smart executives and one phone call from a guy who used to play football can nix the whole thing.

Shoe looks pretty cool....but this was nothing more than having that winy little bitch start hassling colleges about using Nike gear, since those shoes represent whatever. Hard to imagine businesses being more gutless.

Man how would you like to have that ahole in your locker room....

Can't believe a billion dollar company would bestow that much power to a guy like that.
They're stuck with him now, any push back they'd become RACISTS.

Nike shoes are produced in places like Indonesia, China, Thailand, Malaysia, etc...

If they were so morally concerned and love America, why not produce those shoes in America and go fully progressive and pay a “living wage” to non-college educated Americans to make them.

Otherwise the greedy Nike shareholders love making money off the backs of poor people, Nike is as establishment as they get.

Pro athletes are fine making millions off the backs of all those working for very little in sponsorship deals.

Everything today is so full of hypocrisy.

What I find most amusing about this is the defenders of Kaep. Their attempts to use finance as “win” is a huge facepalm. Salon has one of two articles I read today from a far-leftist that says Nike is winning and both articles linked to an old statement that Kaep added $6B in value to Nike.

Let’s look at the facts. It is true that Nike has very very slightly outperformed the DJIA. DJIA has grown 3.1% since the Nike/Kaep announcement while Nike has grown 3.3%.

However, a true comparison should be how Nike is doing against athletic wear competitors. And their stock price sucks compared to them.
Under Armour stock is up 17.1% in the same time frame.
Adidas is up 24.3%.

If Nike stock had trended like two of their competitors their market cap would have increased $31B! Conceivably, hanging their hat with Kaep is driving an enormous pit into their overall company value.
There is no doubt that other items contribute to Nike’s failing against their competitors, but Kaep supports are wildly incorrect by saying he has helped Nike’s value.

I wonder if those shoes were made in Chinese sweatshops with inhumane conditions and 10 year olds.
