Nick Reenan has been release from his verbal from Norhwestern

I know this was the guy you talked about but what weight and what class
He is the incoming class and probably a 65/74. He started the year at 195, but that was for the team.He won WNO at 295, but weighed in at 177. For the Minnesota v us event he weighed in a pound under for 170, I'm sure there was an allowance, but I don't know what it was.

I thought he was larger than 174. He is a true stud and will be competitive for a national championship. I know he finished High School at Wyoming Seminary in Pennsylvania, but he is a Dallas native as he went to Trinity Christian High School which is in Addison (north Dallas). I have no idea why Northwestern is giving releases to these kids and stranger yet is why they are asking for them.
My gut feel is Nick is a top student and would be a great addition to any team.

They just named a new coach today, perhaps he was looking for something different.

Reenan is probably the biggest lock of a great recruit in this years class outside of Mark Hall. As an upper weight with one year of redshirt he will be amazing. Get him in the OSU room and he will develop the first year. Not that he hasn't been groomed at Wyoming Seminary. I am just befuddled as to why Northwestern keeps losing these great wrestlers.

The coach they committed to is no longer with the program.

Tognetti: you sure he didn't SIGN with Northwestern? No release required from verbal commitment. Verbal is not binding.
I think he signed in November. That's why he needed a release. It's a release from the 'Letter of Intent".
No release and he loses a year like the VT signees that followed Brands to Iowa (Metcalf...).
