Nice military leadership Biff

You lost me at Biff.....BTW what is the nickname for Obama, and who uses a nickname for him on this Board to dehumanize him in a racially charged way like you are with Trump? Biff sounds like some racial profiling to me, tell me what does Biff stand for? Is it the white image of Biff from back to the future? Racially charged imagery.

Haters got to hate.

He's talked soooo much shit and then this. Imagine the outcry if this happened with Obama. But it's OK if you talk lots of shit. Actually wining and keeping Americans from getting killed doesn't matter nearly as much as optics.

I guess I'm a bad person, but I don't have much sympathy for the daughter of a known radical terrorist. Its sad that her family put her in that position.

As for the Seal team member, God bless him and his family and may he rest in peace.

As for Trump's involvement, I'll stick with what I've said about Obama's involvement. His involvement is negligible (outside of maybe the overall authorization). All the fawning over Obama and OBL like he was in Pakistan kicking down the doors himself never made any sense. And neither does this.

Muslim, socialist, flop ears, his wife has been called an ape, gorilla, wookie, etc. Are you really being serious?

Yep -- loud, brash, trashy, mean, ignorant Biff from Back to the Future.

But Biff said we're gonna win win win, he's gonna beat ISIS, etc. Were we supposed to ignore that?

I'm avoiding the name calling portion as that's not directed at me. As for the raid itself, it did kill Anwar's brother-in-law (mentioned near the very bottom), so other than the SEAL team casualty, I'm not sure this wasn't a win.

Yes imagine if this happened under Obama, the outrage that would be heard!!! I mean look at all the outrage that occurred when Obama specifically targeted and killed Awalaki's 16 year old son who was also a US citizen and had no terrorist ties other than being the son of a terrorist.

And btw, this does actually piss me off. I hate our foreign policy approach.

I know you're being sarcastic, but johnnyvito melted my face down over the drone strikes and killing civilians. There was all kinds of right wing hell raising. He wasn't an 8 year old girl, either.

Doesn't matter, he was still a kid who was targeted and killed for nothing more than the sins of his father. This is collateral damage and there is a difference. But I don't support either and it's a damned shame.

All these boobs in government cannot fathom how many enemies our bombings and attacks create. It plays right into the propaganda fed to these people by extremists and increases their recruiting ranks. Obama dropped over 100,000 bombs in seven countries over his eight years. This shit needs to be rexamined for a new strategy.

The American public shrugs largely in part to the constant dehumanization of people we are at "war" with.

Donald trump did not start Isis he is finishing it. Next time I guess to satisfy everyone he should be on a horse with a saber leading the charge.

This is unfortunate but I'm going to go ahead and blame the Muslim extremists who want to take over the world and not the president.

This is quite a standard though. I assume a list of little girls fdr killed in WWII accompanies his legacy?

No it doesn't. He was a hero for stopping the spread of a dangerous and malignant movement.

You will never tie those comments to me. If people chose to ignore commentary given the use of that imagery more power to them.

You will never tie those comments to me.

They happened repeatedly here and you didn't call them out like you have "Biff" (of all things).

So....hypocrite....applies.

This is honestly one of the herp derpiest lines of argument someone could making right about now.

Can you post a selfie? Because that would be phucking awesome!

In the big picture, it's war. There will be collateral damage. Four out of the five people killed in the bin Laden raid were unarmed. It happens.

When an Iraq war vet says we're too violent and are killing too many innocents and it's a propoganda boon for terrorists, it's something that shouldn't be explained away with "It happens." It doesn't just "happen" and creating enemies faster than we kill them, at great expense, is something that a reasonable person would try and avoid.

The new president has been in power 10 days, and now you care about the inadvertant killing of civilians in war zones? Really? Was this veteran's opinion considered moot for the prior 14 years of administrations?

Easy answer - You can't politicize it when your guy is doing the killing

I like the Iraq war vet to which you refer. He's entitled to his opinion and I respect him. I just don't remember you highlighting the deaths of those unarmed people while Obama was "getting" bin Laden.

I bet said vet would rather have 1000 bin Laden raids than 1 war in Iraq or 10 wedding drone strikes.
Which isn't to defend Obama Middle East policy, but the bin Laden raid is pretty far down the list of worst things he has done.

Yep. I really disagreed with Mr. Obama's policies, but I don't think I ever resorted to name calling. To me, it sounds kind of elementary schoolish.

Maybe I did a poor job of articulating my point. I'll try again.

Sys posted an article in which it was highlighted that an innocent person lost their life in a military raid. He seemed to not bitch at all when Obama got bin Laden. In fact, he celebrated this raid over and over, despite several unarmed people being killed in the process.

Nobody on this board that I can recall bemoaned those unnecessary deaths while Obama was the commander in chief. But let that happen during a Republican administration and Sys can't wait to post an article about it.

I was simply pointing out a moment of Syskatine hypocrisy.

It is quite a damned mess in the Middle East thanks to George W Bush, Hillary Clinton and Barack Hussein Obama. President Trump inherits quite an F-show. I hope and pray that he is able to disentangle this country from as many of those messes as is possible.

Well sort of really, I haven't really decided yet. Do I have to adopt either "It's all okay all the time" or "It's never okay" approach? I don't even really know myself when civilian deaths are and aren't acceptable. I'm open to listening though. Killing OBL tends to justify civilian deaths as opposed to some low-level ISIS guy I guess. Killing an 8 year old girl is harder to defend than a 16 year old male with a gun.

Maybe you should get your shit together before accusing me of selectively listening to Thor? I've had multiple convo's with Thor on here where I agreed with his middle east views. I've sought them out. Yes, during the Obama admin. This is nothing new.

Our very own JonnyVito bemoaned and was joined by Thor and me. I argued that the president should not be able to kill people without due process of some sort. People argued back that the constitution doesn't apply to foreigners. I argued back that the constitution was a codification of morals and values and not a replacement for them.

If you're speaking of Vito's anti-drone rants, then I get it now.

I've been thinking about something you posted a few weeks back. The gist of it was basically get out of somebody else's conflict and let them kill each other until they get tired of doing so.

As I review our past policies and experience and the results of all that, I'm beginning to lean that direction. Imposing a democratic form of government on a culture that just isn't ready for it is a disaster. Seems like our leadership has learned nothing over the last 15 years. It's hard to sit on the sidelines and watch a million people slaughter each other, but maybe that's what needs to happen.

Still trying to reason my way through this. It all just sucks.

We should simply support those that ask us to be there. But I find it strange that we are directly involved in these conflicts rather than working through the Jordan, KSA, UAE, and other regional governments.

The deaths of these family members were inadvertent. The difference here is Obama targeted an American specifically. In this case they seem to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. This argument reminds of Clerks and the discussion about the death star blowing up. As a contractor you don't want to associate or take a job with someone that may get you killed. The money isn't worth it.

I do agree with Thor that our foreign policy has been terrible for some time. Politicians do a bad job of understanding the battlefield regardless of whether or not they have served in the military or not. Where we would disagree is on our bombing creating terrorists. The terrorists do a very good job on their own in creating and motivating their own ranks. I think he overestimates how much of what we do affects that. It would be a great conversation to have with him, and one I would invite over a few beers anytime somewhere other than this board. -Iraq War Vet

FIFY.

I've used any and all childish 0bama insults, but never any racial slur ones. 0bama opened that door for me with his childish "clinging to guns and bibles" speech. If he and his supporters expected better, they should have used their big brains.

Photographic evidence clearly shows Manchelle has a bigger dick.
