Accurate. My House (state and federal) Districts both went blue for the first time in 40 years or so. I live in NW OKC/West Edmond. Not exactly known for electing Democrats or women. Last night it did both in both of those seats.
Yup. So the big question is what does that portend in state gov't? Will the rest of the state legislatively gang bang OKC? I don't know that the shift has much practical impact on a macro level.
Obvious answer? The rest of the state is a lot smarter than OKC.
Hence, Tulsa >> OKC. #ThoseAreTheFacts

Just getting around to digging in to the voting numbers this morning. Washington County went RED. Really red. Red across the board. Gov. race was the closest race out of all of them in Washington County and Stitt won the county with %63. Pinnell won the county with %72. Washington County built a Red Wall.

That? I’m not generally a fan of open carry in public outside of limited situations. Marks you as a target, increased scrutiny, the responsibility to take care of your own weapon, etc.
More along the lines of some of their policy involving grills, “Public use”, that sort of thing.
Also, the whole fiasco involving the pedestrian bridge which basically boiled down to bicyclists didn’t like it, so Mayor Hipster Bikerfox says we gotta build a new one.

Just shows that Oklahoma is subject to the same National trend as everyone else. Urban centers and college areas are shifting predominantly left, while rural shifts right. Suburbs are split (somewhat on gender lines). If it continues, Red State/Blue state will simply become a byproduct of population density.
Probably not much practical impact unless the trend spreads.
