I have been to New Orleans before, but it was many years ago. Going again next week to do some training for work during the day, but need some evening entertainment, food, and sight seeing ideas.

I travel to New Orleans about six times per year. I am a big fan of Dragos. They have, IMO, the best charbroiled oysters. Also, a great seafood pasta.
Hotel Monteleone is right in French Quarter. Has famous carousel bar (although I have yet to go and get a seat).

If you're up for an adventure off the beaten path (will need to take an Uber) then check out Bacchanal Wine. Sketchy area and across from a big abandoned complex that would be a great location for a zombie movie but the place is like walking into a liquor store where you can take your booze (retail price) to the back patio and listen to live music. Interesting experience.

Agreed on Carousel Bar above and Sazerac Bar is an upscale option in the Roosevelt Hotel that should provide some good sightseeing.

WWII museum is great if you have time.

We stayed at the Monteleone last trip there (when we played in the Sugar Bowl) and had a blast. The WWII museum is outstanding.

We prefer Cafe Beignet to the more famous tourist spot.

What’s the place that invented the Eggs Benedict? Damn fine meal.

Emeril Lagasse’s is legit.

I have....before Alon Shay left/was fired from the Besh group.

Also Shaya’s newish restaurant in NOLA....SABA

Alon Shaya has a new restaurant in the RiNo District of Denver. Really want to get out there and try it too.

I know this is off topic but even though I live just north of Denver I had no idea what the RiNo district was until I searched for it.

I have to try Safta soon. I really enjoy that style of food.

If you go to RiNo, hit Crooked Stave and Ratio breweries. I think Odell’s new place has also opened there.

A buddy of mine is an investor in a restaurant there called Work & Class. I have a growing list of places I need to check out down there.

Regarding the OP and NOLA, it's been a very very long time since I was there so unfortunately I don't have any recommendations.

Went to the Sugar Bowl a few years back, went to Mr. B’s Bistro. Good Cajun.

Oak Alley Plantation is cool.

Only things that I can add that hasn’t already been mentioned.

We stayed within walking distance of RiNo when we were there for Men’s World Cup qualifying and massive brewery tour the summer before last.
