Need advice. RE: Co-worker Flatulence

OK, so the environment I work in is basically where they took two 8x8 cubicles with 6' walls and removed the center dividing wall to make a bigger cube and shoved 4 desks in it. One of the people that sits in my quad cube has a major gas problem. It constantly stinks in this cubicle. I mean seriously nasty smells. The Hague Tribunal may need to rule whether this form of torture violates basic human rights. I have made mention of it to my co-worker multiple times and his response is that he knows and has been told that before, but there is nothing he can do about it. Sitting in this cube 5 days a week is starting to impact my mental health. I may need to go on prosac or something so I don't go completely insane having to smell this shit all the time. Any suggestions on how to resolve this situation? I am the lead of the people sitting in my cube so moving is not an option. HELP!!

Just guessing here, maybe try a "desktop air purifier?" Looks like there's some models with good reviews. From a HR perspective, I'm not sure could legally be done about your coworker's "condition." You could also see what the Main Board has to say on the subject.

I can empathize with your situation. Upper mgmt gifted me an employee from another section, who runs about 5'9" 350lbs. I walked his past cube the other day, and really wondered if an "accident" had occurred, it was awful. The dude's 42 years old, so I figure he's well aware of the issue at that point in life, and probably can't do much about it.

Three ideas. Perhaps combine them.
1. Get a fan that will blow away from your desk. There are many desk top models.
2. Get an automatic air freshener that puffs de-sinker out periodically. This may not be strong enough unless placed really close to his desk.
3. Unless he is passing gas constantly, ask him to step outside of the work area when he needs to release.
If he is aware of the problem...then he shouldn't have an issue with any of these ideas.

I wish I could post the convo but I can't even read it anymore. Blacklisted me for political spam and race baiting. I posted Gavin mcinnes in one thread and started a thread about how different people define racism. There is no structure to the rules over there. It's just a crap shoot. He is just simple minded,

In light of the Charlottesville stuff they have gone full code on any threads related to politics and race. It is my understanding that this came from the corporate level and that is why they are banning anyone and everyone who posts on those issues right now. That board has tons of political discussions 24 hours a day and some of the mods really enjoy them but I do believe their hands are tied here.

I know it's fun to pile on @onesmad here sometimes but I think this one comes from the Yahoo deep state itself.
