While I like the idea of assembling a Convention of States, I do have serious concern that power could be abused. If the convention were limited to specific actions that curtail the power of the federal government over the states, I would feel much better.

I was thinking the same thing. How quickly this would become a bad thing for one side if they didn't like the eventual outcome.

I am all for a convention of states to amend the Constitution. Let's amend our system of governance to a constitutional monarchy. Of course, there I go too, wanting to guarantee the outcome haha!

38 states have to vote to pass something. So, if something passes I wouldn’t call it abuse of power.

Just as a modern CC would be quite the spectacle today. Most likely, nothing would be accomplished or agreed upon and the CC would dissolve in conflict.

I actually agree with you. It would be just like the US Congress.
