Name of the Wind - Kingkiller chronocles

Yes. Both books are good. Unfortunately, the author suffers from GRRM syndrome and the third book to finish the series may never come out

I really enjoyed the first one and didn't enjoy the second nearly as much. I'd still be excited to check out the end, but yeah, Rothfuss doesn't seem to be in a big hurry to finish it up. I was really excited about this big fantasy series when I read the first one years and years ago because, unlike GRRM, Rothfuss supposedly had written the whole series already and just needed to edit each one before he put them out. I guess the story changed significantly in the meantime because it's been six years since book two came out, and there's not even a hint that book three is anywhere close. But don't worry, it's already been optioned as a TV show. You'd think these authors would learn.

Maybe they learned to let TV writers take the blame if the ending sucks and take the credit themselves if it doesn't

It's really good.

Kvothe is a wonderful character with a lot of depth to him.

I can't remember the names of the villains... I found the mythology within the world very interesting.

All that said... Corn is right. It's past time for Day Three. Unlike Martin at least Rothfuss has had a day job and a young family to use as an excuse.

If you have enjoyed this series I would also reccomend the Demon Cycle by Peter V Brett. The first in that series is called The Warded Man. I believe there are five total, and the fifth one comes out next month. I could be wrong, now, but the last I heard #5 was supposed to conclude the series. I have only read through #3, but I liked them a lot. The world isn't as rich as Kingkiller, at least not at first, but the character development is nearly as deep and the action is much better.
