I thought we looked good defensively at the beginning but they adjusted and we did not compensate until the middle of the 3rd quarter. Defensive tackles surprised me and I think they should only improve throughout the season. I think CMU tried to neutralize our DE and were somewhat successful. Linbackers did not cover TE or Backs out of the backfield early. I am somewhat concerned that what is suppose to be our strengths in LB and CB did not pan out that way. All and all if you would have told me we would hold them to 13 before the game I would have been happy. The off had a very slow start and never really got into a rhythm all game. I think that the offensive staff was told to be very conservative early and they let them open it up a little later but I think they only called it to get out with a win. I don't like it but it is just what I think they did. Good thing is there is room for a ton of improvement and there is alot of talent there. coaches can do alot of coaching this week. The only thing that concerns me is I don't think our ceiling is as high as I thought going into this week. 8 to 9 wins is what I think the ceiling is. The only thing I will say is I thought the same way after 4 or 5 games in 2013 and we won 10.
