So, they were such close associates that he had to arrange for a "mutual friend" to act as an introductory go between? Hardly the close association you insinuated.

I'll concede that I was wrong in my assertion that the two "had never met" prior to March 2016. I remembered the stories at the time of Manafort being "introduced" to Trump because at the time Manafort joined the campaign it was widely discussed as pretty surprising development.
