I know people around the country and even here in the midwest look at last Sat's score and snicker. Not that I blame them. But you actually have to watch the game to see what happened. Was OSU flat in the first half or are we a bad tackling team as Herbstreit tried to claim? Or did we just play conservatively? Maybe taking a try at the old bend but don't break, keep everything in front of you. The latter is what I saw. How do we know?
Well, here is how you tell. If we are a bad tackling team as some in the media have tried to portray, how do you explain the second half? The game just did not stop at half time. In the second half we shut TT out in the 3rd quarter(only the 3rd time all year they have been shut out a quarter). We stopped them on 4 straight possessions(no one else has done that all year), and we allowed them to score on only 2 out of 10 possessions. We forced 3 TO's. We played aggressively the second half which is where our strength lies.
We do this Saturday and we will be 9-0.
