I don't think that will pass the constitutional test, but it's a step in the right direction.
You ever notice the only time the Constitution is important to Democrats is when they can pervert it to further advance their agenda?
Yes, they tend to be more of a "living document" justice.
While I do think that the times can change the way we should look at the law, I also think that a new look needs to be supported with at the very least some original intent.
Democrats have abandoned even attaching any original intent.
I think it could pass constitutional muster. Texas is just saying it is a state law that if you don't have legitimate documentation then you can be criminally tried in Texas. They aren't trying to enforce the actual border.
Imagine that, holding someone accountable for breaking the law. What a novel concept, maybe we should try that for a while and see how it works out.
Dims won't hold criminals accountable but they will go after cops.
