Kyle Allen, as most know, was pissed off about splitting time with Kyler Murray after he clearly beat Murray out last spring. But Kevin Sumlin had made Daddy Murray a promise of playing time. This led to a huge division between the players who want Allen to QB the team and those who wanted Murray. Allen apparently ended up building a lot of hate towards Murray and the favorable treatment he was getting.

This question between who should be the QB led to a feud between Spavital, who was in the Allen camp, and Sumlin, who was sticking to his promise to the Murrays, who threatened to transfer if Kyler didn't at least split time.

Then - after Murray was actually named the starter - that's when the feud over baseball began, as Sumlin backed off the promise to allow Murray to play baseball in the spring. That was the straw that broke the camel's back for the Murrays as they made the decision for good to transfer.

Here's the funny part: When Kyle Allen said he was leaving A&M, he was initially going to go to OU. But, after Murray (and his daddy) decided to leave A&M, Murray decided to FOLLOW Allen to OU and prove that he's the better quarterback.

Fast forward to the week of Christmas, Murray signs financial aide agreement with OU. Allen says "screw this" and scraps the plan to go to OU and is deciding between Cal, Texas, Ohio State, or Houston.

Just what my source is saying.
