Texas just fired their coach as they were somehow worse than us this year.
All those programs arguably more successful than OSU over the last 20 years. If not more successful, it's close.
What did Ohio State do this year? Anyone heard from Cal in ten years?
Programs ebb and flow. OSU has now ebbed (or flowed, or something) and we stink right now. We'll ride out Ford's deal and move on when we're able. But something will break right again in the next 5 or 10 years and the program will be back.
Maybe that's Self, maybe it's a 30 year old Forte, who knows. But we'll be back.
I understand the board habit of wondering about next year and hoping so-and-so recruit is interested and that's all natural stuff. But it's pointless right now. Evans will be badass and it won't make a damn bit of difference. Soloman and Shine have some upside, but these guys are about all we have to hang our hat on. We're tilting with Tech now to stay out of the basement, and likely will be until we see a coaching change.
