Why are our leftist friends so muted in their criticism of Cuba’s communist tyranny? You would think they would recognize the damage the reality of Cuban socialism does to their politics of choice, and would be the most vocal critics around, insisting the Cuban dictators put down their weapons and begin instituting “real” socialism. Instead we get off-handed and indifferent mousy responses. I guess they simply cannot bring themselves to admit the “conservatives” might be right about anything.

Maybe it would help them if they actually read something of a critical nature from a fellow leftist, one of the few that adheres to the principles he espouses. It’s too bad those people are such a minority within the leftist movement, voices crying out in the wilderness.

Sorry if posted I didn't read the other thread on Cuba as much, but maybe we can all chip in to sponsor a plane ticket or two for all of the BLM and antifa mobist since they are so hell-bent on bringing communism to America? Put me down for 10 one-way tickets for these young folks

That would include the Lib turds on this message board which include but are not limited to David Allen, Saskatoon, 07 pilot, tic tac Moe, breast man, et al......Y'all are very welcome

For starters, your leftists friends are in love with the idea of communist tyranny. The middle and upper middle class are the people most adversely affected by marxism, which helps promote their ideology of “get even with ‘em-ism”.

Their hatred of America and capitalism exceeds all else. They are partisan hacks who are incapable of being objective.

end the embargo
I agree completely. Once the embargo is ended the Cuban communism defenders (frankly I’m surprised to see you in that group) will lose their last excuse for why Cuba “had to go tyrannical.”

Tell me, Pilt, do you think ending the embargo will be the turning point that finally creates heaven on earth in Cuba?

Oh, I forgot to add: this is a perfect example of the off handed indifferent mousy response I mentioned above. It just amazes me that a person who has identified socialism at its finest in Norway is not beating his chest in fury at how the Cuban socialists have mishandled a nearly perfect system, causing people to associate a perfect system with authoritarianism, starvation, beatings, imprisonment, “disappearances,” cold blooded murder - shall I go on? I would expect you to be the loudest voice in approbation. It’s utterly ruining the reputation of your political system of choice. Instead we get “end the embargo.”

Read the article, Pilt. Learn something new.

Probably not, but it will help the people of Cuba.

Yeah I guess socialism is a challenge for an island nation embargoed by its largest trading partner and subject invasion threats and constant assassination attempts for the world's greatest superpower.

What do you propose Dan? I think the most effective thing is "end the embargo"

You’re breaking my heart. I have always thought there was more to you than this.

Told ya 🤣
There are leftists who have a philosophical vision of how the world should be, one of peace and prosperity and harmony, and who are outraged at those who defile the vision, and make their outrage known for all to see. Then there is the leftist majority, those who have joined a team, who have no understanding, and don’t care to understand when the team slips off the rails. All they care about is winning, and if their victory results in chaos, horror or misery that’s just the price to pay to obtain victory.

I stupidly convinced myself Pilt was in the first category.

My team slipped off the rails when they invaded the Bay of Pigs.

Strawman?
Pilt: All we can do is end the embargo.
Dan: Pilt is pro tyranny and it breaks my heart.
Strawman:
Dan: Leftist defenders of Cuban communist tyranny should rethink their attitude:
Pilt: sounds like what the CIA proposes.

When did I do that?
When you proposed as your only criticism: end the embargo.

I bet my wife dinner at Mahogany that you didn’t read the article that caused all this back and forth. If you had read it you would know he addressed the “embargo defense.”

I’ve said before, Biden actually getting into office forcing people to trigger themselves into doubling, tripling and quadrupling down has been the everything I hoped for.
