More Important than the Big 12's

A spot closer to the BOK, if you just want to pop over for a cocktail or beer is:

They also now serve food, which I haven't had but understand it is good. It is very close to the BOK Center

Listed below is a list put together by Amber Hinkle with the Tulsa Chapter of dinner/drink options close to the Fairfield Inn & Suites in downtown Tulsa:

Dinner Options:

Caz’s Chowhouse --> American comfort food
www.cazschowhouse.com
18 E Brady - This is about a 5 minute (if that) walk from the hotel

Rusty Crane --> They describe themselves as a hip hang out with eclectic menu, but I can tell you there is something for everyone on this menu. And I haven’t had anything that wasn’t delicious. AMAZING bar too! They serve lots of local beers as well.
109 N Detroit - about a 10 minute walk (3 blocks)
www.Therustycranetulsa.com

Hey Mambo -- . Refined Italian restaurant & wine bar with a brick pizza oven & contemporary décor, they also serve lots of local beers
114 N Boston ave - Is literally right out the back door of the hotel – 3 minute walk
www.heymambo.com

Drinks:

Valkyrie --> Relaxed lounge with offering handmade cocktails & craft beer (also to be noted that they are OSU owned)
13 E Brady - about a 5 minute walk (if that)
www.valkyrietulsa.com

Caz’s Pub --> Time tested bar with a jukebox and pool (think hole in the wall but not scary lol)
21 E Brady - right across the street from Caz’s Chowhouse and a short walk from your hotel.
www.cazspub.com

Inner Circle Vodka Bar --> Has a delicious menu of hand crafted cocktails and craft beers (also OSU owned) this one can get a little loud on a Saturday night (music is usually loud) but it is a super fun atmosphere if that is what you are after.
410 N Main St - This is a bit of a longer walk about 10 minutes or so, but it is right up Main Street across from the Historic Cain’s Ballroom. - www.icvodkabar.com

Saturn Room --> You will feel like you have left the depths of winter and walked right into the Caribbean at this place! All decked out like a tiki bar – this bar is a lot of fun!
209 N Boulder - just about a block and a half from your hotel, 5-10 minute walk
www.saturnroom.com

This is a great reference for what Downtown Tulsa has to offer:

Honestly? That is a lousy list of dinner options. Nothing against those places, but there are better options close by and A TON of dinner options that are reasonably close (like as close or nearly as close as Rusty Crane).

Valkyrie is a good rec. for a cocktail place. But she doesn't even list the Prairie brewpub which is < 2 blocks up the street? And it features great local and other harder to find beers on tap and also has great food. For instance, Prairie is in the same direction as Inner Circle, but is a block + closer, and also closer than The Saturn Room. both shoe places are fine for a drink BTW; I would say Inner Circle is mostly for a younger crowd.

Sound more like Deputy Dawg to me. Debbie has spent countless hours over many years planning hotel rooms, get togethers and amping up Oklahoma State Spirit. Sounds like you are a little late jumping on the Cowboy band wagon. Not wanting to start a major argument but lay off one of the proudest Orange bearer in the State of Oklahoma.

I wasn't intending to disparage the work she has done at all, nor her spirit in supporting Oklahoma St. The http://downtowntulsaok.com/ is a good source for much more complete information as was later pointed out by LoveOSUSports.

The original list of dining options (separate from the link) provided above is simply NOT a representative nor complete list of the best nearby dining options. That is a fact. As someone who has worked in downtown Tulsa for over 2 decades and supports the arts in the area (along with the area sports teams) strongly, thus spends quite a few evenings downtown, I thought I'd try to help inform those who may not be familiar with a lot of new establishments in downtown Tulsa.

I'll shut up; hope guys that are coming from out of town have a safe and fun trip.

It was your tone that bugged me and she was not giving a representative list just what she knew about. People will differ on what is good or bad and obviously you have a right to your opinion. I am not from Tulsa and you are much more informed than most but I would only suggest you look at what you posted and see if it is a "little condescending".
