The headline was rude, and for that I apologize. You said you clicked the link. But did you read the speech? I don't see anything in the speech that correlates to your neocon/Trotsky links. What am I missing? What about the speech did you find distasteful? I don't know much about the history of AEI, but the speech I linked was almost pure libertarian. AEI is one of the permanent links on Don Boudreaux's website, Cafe Hayek. Boudreaux is as libertarian as one can get. I read the AEI articles fairly regularly, and have found nothing to disagree with up to this point.Yikes at the headline, @Ponca Dan. But I clicked the link.
You're presenting a speech of the Irving Kristol award, from a neoconservative thinktank (AEI)? Interesting, for a libertarian.
Irving Kristol, known as "the Godfather of neoconsonservatives," was an avid follower of Leon Trotsky (as most original neoconservatives were) --- here's Irving Kristol's essay, Memoirs of a Trotskyist:

Trotsky was considered "the smart communist" --- much smarter than Stalin (who exiled Trotsky) --- Stalin ended up having Trotsky murdered in Mexico in 1940.
Incidentally, Trotsky is also said to have invented the word "racism." (a word that has been weaponized, today)

Here's Irving Kristol's son, Bill (an Iraq war architect), making a rather disturbing statement about "goyim" women.
Here's Bill speaking at the AEI about financially struggling goyim --- many of whom fought in the Iraq war that Bill helped bring us.
Here is the link as provided by Donald Boudreaux. Maybe Mark Perry’s contribution via his website, Carpe Diem, is somehow divorced from the rest of the Institute. But I’ve never read anything through Mark Perry that even closely resembles agreeing with neocon warmongers. The headline was rude, and for that I apologize. You said you clicked the link.
