This crap happens all day everyday in Chicago. The left gnashes its collective teeth and screams gun control when a mass shooting occurs, but remains silent on the continuous violence in Chicago. If you bring up the source of the gun violence in Chicago, which happens to be the largest source of gun violence in the US, the left calls you a racist. Does the left ignore the root of the problem in Chicago because of the potential political liability of being open and honest about it? Are they so paralyzed by that political fear that they are willing to look the other way while people are injured or die in the never ending cycle of gang violence? Is there another reason I'm missing?

They're only 2 shy of the totals thru June 2016 with 2 weeks still to go. Averaging 40-something shooting deaths per week tells me they will pass June 2016 numbers. The remaining months are traditionally the most deadly indicating 2017 will be another record year.

One of my clients is a retired Chicago PD Watch Commander. I asked him what needs to be done to reverse this carnage. He said more policemen on the streets and less politicians in office.
