McMaster resigns

Bolton is currently a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI),[10] senior advisor for Freedom Capital Investment Management,[11] a Fox News Channelcommentator, and of counsel to the Washington, D.C. law firm Kirkland & Ellis.[12]He was a foreign policy adviser to 2012 presidential candidate Mitt Romney.[13] Bolton is also involved with a number of politically conservative think tanks, policy institutes and special interest groups, including the Institute of East-West Dynamics, the National Rifle Association, the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, Project for the New American Century, Jewish Institute for National Security of America (JINSA), Committee for Peace and Security in the Gulf, the Council for National Policy, and the Gatestone Institute,[14] where he serves as the organization Chairman.

I would have hated this move six or seven years ago, but now I’m neutral.

Bolton has been running the Gatestone Institute for a while now, which has meticulously documented Europe’s cultural transition into quasi-Islamism.

Nowhere else has been providing this sort of coverage. It’s been truly amazing.

Beyond that, the last two years has shown that nobody controls Trump. Trump is his own man.

Which is why the Uniparty sees him as the ultimate threat.

Can you think of a single military conflict anywhere in the world to which John Bolton has not wanted to send our young men? The blood lust in that man is unquenchable. Well, everybody’s blood but his own. There may not be a more evil person in this country than John Bolton. I’ve never liked Donald Trump, but now I thoroughly despise the man. He has betrayed us all.

If you carefully observe his aggressive commentary. He's for taking out aggressively the radicals that have fomented all the violence in the middle east. He's not for going to war, he's for "if" you go to war, do it to win and finish it fast. Something Bush and Obama rejected. Over whelming force. WOW, what a concept.

You would have hated this move six of seven years ago because it wouldn’t have been your unhealthy mancrush Trump doing it.

Bummer.

I have a “friend” that spent time collecting paychecks from a three letter organization, speaks fluent Arabic and Farsi, holds multiple advance degrees and advised two Presidents tell me McMaster was the guy that could keep things sane until this nightmare was over.

Replacing him with Bolton is a double-whammy.

Guy’s views on NK are terrifying.

I have a son-in-law that just got out of the Navy. Three tours in the Middle East, one tour on a carrier out of Tokyo (during an intense time with N. Korea). He’s out now, but still in the reserves. I don’t know what I’ll do if that asshole Bolton gets him recalled and killed as one of his pawns in his “overwhelming force.” Screw John Bolton and screw his never-ending desire to get us into any and every war he can.

What nightmare? Is your life worse today than 18 months ago? Anyone’s life worse? Other than him saying stupid shit on Twitter, how is this a nightmare?

Gotcha. What a nightmare.

I’ll call it what I want so long as speech is still free in this country.

The point was the person I know that gets national security more than anyone else I know thought McMaster was the guy that could provide wisdom and restraint in the WH.

Was it not McMaster who wanted a far greater troop build-up in Afghanistan than what President Trump eventually approved?

Wow...1A card! Next we will hear about your #metoo moment, huh?

Do you negotiate and say what do want and we'll try to make it so. Or do you you say we need you to do this because we have this giant stick and we are going to bring it down on your head if you refuse. Trade, military, take your pick.

Which one do you you think works when it comes to bullies like NK or China?

Nope -- nothing to do with a Trump mancrush.

The reason I'm open to Bolton (unlike seven years ago) is neoconservatives support open borders and mass Islamic immigration into the west.

Bolton, on the other hand, hates Islam.

Bolton’s Gatestone Institute has *meticulously* documented Islam’s increasing foothold in Europe, on a local level (individual European cities, using local European reporters translating foreign media from their cities — like Rotterdam, Leipzig, etc ).

Anyone who has read Gatestone Institute articles knows exactly what I’m talking about.

And just last week, Angela Merkel shocked the world (and especially European leaders) when she admitted that Islamic no-go zones are in Germany — vindicating years of Gatestone reporting (and rejecting the corporate media narrative that no go zones are right wing nonsense).

So simply because of the Gatestone Institute, John Bolton is a very different cat than neocons Bill Kristol, Max Boot etc.

How will this work with Bolton and Trump? We’ll see. But the idea that anyone controls Trump has been disproven.

Bolton hated Islam seven years ago as well.

And here I was thinking you hated neocons because of their lust for war and intervention.

How do you feel about the state of Israel? They are pretty rough on Muslims.
