I paid $5 for a one month subscription to Taibbi on Substack to read his four articles on the VA election. Highly recommend it. Pulitzer-level reporting. The clowns in the media tabbed that election as “white supremacy”. Only 60% of Loudan County is white. It was Asian and Indian parents who were infuriated at what the school district had done to the schools in the name of “equity” who voted Republican in droves for the first time ever to flip the state to Youngkin.

It is more appropriately considered “state capitalism,” a system in which “capitalists’ capture the regulatory side of government and turn the regulations and laws in their favor to reduce competition. It’s infuriating. Leftists in general and progressives in particular use the phenomena to turn people against the idea of unfettered free markets, not understanding that it’s the government intervention that causes the problem.

You just described socialism again. State capitalism = socialism, and fascism for that matter. There is nothing capitalist about it.
