No offense to the other thread or the poster but I just don't get it.
This was the plan from the very beginning and it is the right plan but people just can't leave it alone.
We got the national media that thinks we have a qb controversy.
We got the local sports animal jokes saying we shouldn't be running Jw at all because it's messing with mason rhythm.
We got posters thinking Jw should be the starting qb.
Why can't it be what it is? It makes us unique and it's working. Leave it alone. We are6-0. Here is an idea: if we want a better run game lets get better on the oline and get better rbs not take out our best arm to put in a qb that can run.
I'm sorry but that other thread bothers me. Why does what we are doing have to be wrong or even lead to the thought that the other qb gives us the best chance to win? Why even go there? Why does it automatically have to mess with our qbs rhythm? Why do we have to think that JW now should be the starter?
Pretty sure this was the plan from the beginning and that our team has wrapped their minds around it and enjoys this system. It's also working. Mason throws us down the field and JW gives us options in the red zone. If you change that you no longer have as good of an arm throwing it down the field and you don't have a different look in the redzone to throw at teams.
And the point supporting JW is that his td to interception ratio is better then Mason's......well no crap he isn't throwing half the amount of passes Mason is. Give me a break with that. Also, we didn't think a qb who hadn't even played a total of 10 games of college football wouldn't make mistakes? Good night the kid has thrown some picks(not all of which have been his fault by the way) but come on. He is growing up and learning right before our eyes. He has also gone into places such as Austin, Norman, Morgantown and so on and won and is 8-1 as our starter. Let's leave it alone guys.
My advice is to leave it the heck alone and enjoy the ride. It's a win-win for us. It allows us to bring along a potentially great young qb without a ton of pressure the redzone can bring and gives a guy who has had a heart for osu a chance to fulfill a role that is working.
