So is Blade a remake or will it be a continuation?
It would be easy to underestimate phase 4.
After the first Guardians, I'm not underestimating anything Marvel does.
I will admit I'm getting comic book movie fatigue.
I could see them using the multiverse to bring new actors into the roles.Well, you should probably get over it. They are here to stay. Hard to see them going away...maybe ever.
As you said the other day, Hollywood had a difficult time coming up with compelling original content. They now have a formula that allows them to adapt already existing content to the big screen, while setting box office records, and allowing for multi-tiered merchandising possibilities.
Now that the MCU has introduced the concept of the Multiverse, they have endless possibilities and directions they can go. They used it to revive dead Nebula. Some day, they can bring Iron Man, Black Widow and Cap back if they want to (assuming the actors are up for it).

A reboot of the Fantastic Four or Marvel's take on the X-Men characters? That I could get excited about.
Bring in major baddies like Dr. Doom or Galactus and do them right -- I'm all in.
Where is Deadpool 3?
Where is Deadpool 3?
Rumors of Deadpool intro/cameo in Spider-Man 3 which would mean 2021 at the absolute earliest. Likely... they would save him for the X-Men MCU reboot so then you're talking like 2023.Fox property. Will eventually be part of Disney (Marvel) and potentially incorporate into the MCU, but that won't happen for at least a few years (if at all). I don't think DP 3 has been officially announced, but I would expect to hear something about it within the next year.

Blade is phase 5 along with the Mutants, Fantastic 4, Captain Marvel 2, Black Panther 2, and GotG 3. There are 11 entries in phase 4, 6 movies and 5 Disney+ series. They announced 10 of them on Saturday, the last one is Spiderman which they couldn't announce because its a Sony movie.Excited for Dr Strange, Shang-Chi, and Blade in that phase.
They are using the Eternals to introduce mutants to the MCU. Based on what I have seen Mutants won't focus on just the X-Men.They announced that they intend to bring in FF and "Mutants" (which I assume means the X-men).
They could definitely bring new actors into the old roles. For example, Captain America could be a different guy (or girl) on an alternate earth.
Well sub Spider man then Blade. I am not just super pumped for phase four. Really only Dr Strange and Spider-Man excite me.Blade is phase 5 along with the Mutants, Fantastic 4, Captain Marvel 2, Black Panther 2, and GotG 3. I'm betting that DP3 is released before the X-men reboot. They have a formula that works, and doesn't really jibe with what I suspect they will do with X-men in 2023 (I can't see it being as dirty or slapstick as Deadpool).
