It's really cool when Obama and crew use it. When used against HRC, it's scandalous.I find it amazing that people are genuinely shocked that Facebook collects all this data on their customers.
The shock is that my friends can consent to give away my data, to Cambridge Analytica or Obama.I find it amazing that people are genuinely shocked that Facebook collects all this data on their customers.

No it wasn't.It was acceptable when FB gave this same data directly to the Obama campaign in '12. Heck, they didn't even charge for it.
http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2018...ampaign-constitute-violation-federal-law.htmlNo it wasn't.
According to your link, Trump paid for his data.http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2018...ampaign-constitute-violation-federal-law.html
Ignore the campaign finance law portion of this post, which I really don't want this to diverge into. How is the data provided by Facebook directly to Obama different from the data provided by the 3rd party to the Trump campaign, other than one acquired it via 3rd party and questionable means and the other received it as a gift of support? How is the data itself different?
Neither of the situations are OK. I don't blame Obama, CA, or Trump for taking the info I blame FB for allowing it.http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2018...ampaign-constitute-violation-federal-law.html

While I agree with you, only one of the uses required Zuckerberg to do a world apology tour, so while you may not have agreed with Obama's use of the data, its clear that the media machine tacitly approved it.Neither of the situations are OK. The New York Times called Obama's data miners brilliant masterminds.

Wasn't the Obama use of data revealed just recently as well? While I agree with you, only one of the uses required Zuckerberg to do a world apology tour, so while you may not have agreed with Obama's use of the data, its clear that the media machine tacitly approved it.
nobama just used Facebook in a way anyone with a Facebook app in 2012 could have used it. The problem isn't political corruption, the problem is that it doesn't even take political corruption to get your data without your consent.there is no telling what kind of kickback nobama promised them....somewhere somehow he made promises. No way he didn't. There is always a hand out from even these characters. A hand out wanting something in return.
It was to me but not sure there.Wasn't the Obama use of data revealed just recently as well?
when you're meeting and toasting with the owner of facebook I would wager it goes deeper than that.nobama just used Facebook in a way anyone with a Facebook app in 2012 could have used it. So weird that POTUS would meet with business leaders. Also quite strange that he would do he is nefarious dealings in a group setting rather than one on one. Even more eerie, he had a photographer document the occasion. Where there is smoke there is fire.when you're meeting and toasting with the owner of facebook I would wager it goes deeper than that.

There is no question about the motives. He/his campaign wanted facebook data to target facebook users so he could win the 2012 election. His campaign, and probably hundreds if not thousand of entities were able to scrape this data while fully complying with facebook's TOCs. This is bad. There is no reason or evidence out there at all that would lead us to call to question Obama's motives.
So why are you spinning stories about a photographed toast with business leaders from Silicon Valley, when the actual bad stuff is right before your eyes?we know he is....
These guys are sooo close to getting it. #OtherRedPill
