You guys probably didn't catch what he did to you guys today, because it was so subtle yet crafty. You guys are all overjoyed with your dominant-looking victory. Oberebo hasn't stopped drooling all over himself since the end of the second match. And you don't even realize that was Cody's plan all along!

I'd imagine you'll get more of the same in Stillwater when we next meet up. Another dominant-looking victory for OSU. And, I can't hardly believe I typing this, probably in the conference championship tournament as well. And you'll be right where Cody wants you!

Because, as we at OU realize, all these matches are irrelevant. Only the matches in March matter. So then, when an OSU wrestler meets up with an OU wrestler at the NCAAs, there will be a false sense of security already built up. The OSU wrestler, the coaching staff, all the OSU fans...overconfidence will abound. No way the OSU wrestler could take the match serious. And that will be his downfall. By the time John Smith realizes what's happening, OU will be on our way to our first National Championship since 1974.

My only hope is that Dieringer doesn't fall prey to this tactic. I'm rooting for him to win his third title. It'd be a shame for him to come this close, only to be thwarted by Cody's evil, yet genius, plan.

Micco. I've been silent long enough but now with shots fired ......
This was my first bedlam in Norman. It was really great hearing the ou fight song only once. Karen asked why they even bothered playing it.

While your thoughts may be true, it was definitely Coach Smith who had that "Man, I'm a genius!" look right after the 133 pound match.

In all honesty, that was as thorough an ass-whooping as I've seen since the time OU left all their starters out of the line-up to save them for the next day's Big Twelve tournament. The difference is that this time our starters were in the line-up. We just got prison raped. At home.

I know the Sooners are better then that Micco but I think the Cowboys are now going to continue to get better then that great showcase they put on yesterday

You know, I think it would have been that way no matter who OSU wrestled. This was a statement. It just so happened it was at OU. After all the backlash of squeaking out a win to Minnesota and then losing to NC State, this was the "watch this" dual, but I did enjoy hearing my son say "dad, OSU is way better than OU!"

I don't follow OU all that closely. Do they have some talent they are redshirting? Not to pile on but I was surprised how little talent OU had out there. Throwing Bedlam hatred aside OU at least has a handful of really solid wrestlers to throw out there most years.

Wow, Cody stayed in character during his post match interview. Not only is he an amazing evil genius, but he is an incredibly talented actor.

I watched the match on TV. My wife thought I had lost my mind at the way I was yelling during the Brock-Brewer match. Had it just been the throw it would have been fun, but that sweet little pass by at the beginning of the match was outstanding. Before the match I thought Brock would keep it to a decision, but man he has quite an arsenal.

Wasn't he considered the third best recruit from last year? I know Piccinninni was the highest p4p recruit and would imagine Joe Smith was second. Before the match I was thinking pull the redshirt as we should have Daton Fix here before he graduates. Not sure which one of these guys will grow, but it would be tough if they are the same size. I see where Gfeller is looking at a Big 10 school. It would be bad to lose such a talent, but we should have a lot of depth in those weights in a couple of years.

Deshazer is pretty good haven't seen anything from him this season though Moody is tough to but he got handled by Nicky at one of the earlier tournaments idk how he'll fit In their line up next year

I think we wrestled very well yesterday. Oklahoma is not a bad team. Think about it they have a returning National champion. Glass at 165 is ranked to AA. This is the team that beat Michigan that was ranked in the top 5 at the time.
OU came to wrestle and OSU came to kick A$$.

In the only match between Piccinnini and Brock in Highschool in October of 2014 Brock won a 3-2 decision with a "slick Slideby" in the 3rd period for the only takedown of the match. The quotes were from Flo wrestling and it can be viewed on Flo. Brock has an extensive freestyle career while Piccinnini eschewed the freestyle wrestling to concentrate on folkstyle. What a one-two punch next year at 125 and 133.

I just watched it again and the slide by was in the 2nd period by Brock and Piccinnini escaped and made it 2-2 and Brock took down and escaped in the third. Brock had several attempts in the third but did not score. Very close match and it was wrestled at 126.I would agree with the two calling the match for flo and that is Piccinnini looks stronger but Brock is slicker. This is strange as Brock is 133 and Piccininni is still at 125. He looks bigger than Brock.

Gilman looks bigger then Clark maybe that's the same dynamic though Picc and Brock are going to be a better 1-2 punch and I'm not just saying that because I know nick :)

From what I know regarding some of the OU redshirts....sounds like Deshazer may have a tough time breaking line up next year even with Brewer gone. Moody can't beat Milhoff at this point. Milhoff still has his redshirt,

Have to say I saw Deshazer wrestle Brock last year and was very impress with him. I was sure they got a steal grabbing him out of that class. I even talked to one of our coaches and he seemed high on him.

I started watching some of Brock's match's in the past and there is one kid named Mitchell McKee (2016 Minnesota commit) that has dominated him in Freestyle. Haven't found any Folkstyle matches between them.

Don't know if they've ever met In Folk (someone please clarify) McKee is one of the top wrestlers in hs and will be a gopher next season

in freestyle brock has trouble with strong kids who counter his shots. mckee is at his best when his opponent shoot on him. he's a very strong kid and his head pinches and turns from top are elite. i would expect brock to beat him in folk style because he doesn't have to worry about getting his back exposed a`la freestyle. but brock on bottom in folk style is still in question. he is known to have struggles on bottom as many freshman do. hopefully it doesn't hurt him to bad this year.

I can remember 2/3 matches of theirs. First one Brock was up big and got countered at the end and got caught in a trapped arm and McKee turned him about 6 times to win at the buzzer. I think I remember another one that was slowed down that McKee won something like 3-2. The last one was like Thompson said, he kept getting pinched.

Just rewatched the dual and noticed Spates said Blackwell is going 133 next year interesting to hear wonder who goes 141 for them next season maybe deshazer goes up

McKee is a very good counter wrestler and strong. Brock is better on his feet, but McKee is good on top. Watching the match online, Brock trusts himself so much that he felt he could beat McKee's counters and got caught a few times. They should be entertaining if they end up at the same weight, but who knows how a kid will grow from year to year. Styles make fights and they match up well in that respect.
