Margie teaching the yoots about American History

Isn’t great to know that LBJ’s Great Society programs - most of which still exists today - have done a great job of eliminating poverty, homelessness, and providing everyone the health care they need! Big government programs - still working like a charm after nearly 60 years!

As someone who educates our children on these types of things - how many factual errors can you count in that speech?

What is the poverty rate today compared to 1965? Is homelessness higher today than it was back then? Has Medicaid eliminated people going without health care? We’ve spent all of this money, yet poverty and homelessness are still major problems and millions of people still go without healthcare. But that’s okay. We just need the government to keep throwing more money and eventually they’ll end those things. 🙄🙄🙄

But it feels good to be against those things and to be a party that claims to care. The results, the deaths, the drug od’s, the segregation none of that matters as long as you can hold your pinky out while sipping tea on the good side of the tracks while basking in the unfounded glory of being a smug leftist.

LOL.

She is so ****ing dumb.
It makes the heart race to know how much the left really, really cares.

"These Negroes, they're getting pretty uppity these days and that's a problem for us since they've got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we've got to do something about this, we've got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference. For if we don't move at all, then their allies will line up against us and there'll be no way of stopping them, we'll lose the filibuster and there'll be no way of putting a brake on all sorts of wild legislation. It'll be Reconstruction all over again."
