Los Angeles, California, June 6, 1975 - Never Forget

Smart money says Jimmy Bob was in the back of that microbus with 4 hippie chicks.

As an 8-year-old, I also remember truckers getting pissed at me for “walking all over them” during family trips to the Florida panhandle.

On June 6, 1975, I had 19 more days before taking my first breath.

But I loved that song as a kid

Rediscovered this song a few years ago. Lyrics are brilliant. Haven’t seen a “cab-over Pete” in years. Is it because the length of the rugs are no longer regulated?
Cabovers came about because trailers could only be a certain length. By making the Truck shorter as a Cab over Engine they could pull longer trailers and haul more freight.
No longer the case anymore as any truck can pull a 53 footer. Back when my Dad drove he drove an IH Cabover and I think trailers back then were 40 or 42 ft, can't recall.
Pic of my Dads Truck back in the day.
