Almost 24 hours later and there are no takers? Color me shocked! I expected the usual mantra of blacks, women, homosexuals, bisexuals, transsexuals, latinos, Muslims .....

Only 3? I forgot the category about floppy ears.I was goIng to say Barack Obama, but he fits into 3 of those categories....
Stupid question. Let me ask you one - is there true equal opportunity or are there built-in advantages or disadvantages for subsets of the American populace?

Wooo hoooo... A reactionary dumbass wades in. This will be fun!

Afraid of a simple question? Change your handle to PepeDePussy.Says the ruhtard that said
No, which explains variations but is not in and of itself an excuse for individual choices.Does everybody retain the innate ability to make a "good" decision in a given situation?

WTF does that question mean? If one is free to make a choice is orthogonal to whether the choice is "good" or "bad". Make your point Socrates.Does everybody enjoy the freedom to make said "good" choice?
After all this talk from you about unequal opportunity (it's called deflection) you still have not given one example of someone who cannot achieve the American dream. Are we to assume you can't think of one?WTF does that question mean? If one is free to make a choice is orthogonal to whether the choice is "good" or "bad". Make your point Socrates.
All this talk? I asked a question. You have an answer? After all this talk from you about unequal opportunity (it's called deflection) you still have not given one example of someone who cannot achieve the American dream. Are we to assume you can't think of one?
Thought of two: Charlotte Bacon and Lavontay White Jr.Are we to assume you can't think of one?

All this talk? I asked a question. You have an answer?
As to the OP - America affords a tremendous oppty for most citizens to prosper. You would have to clarify American Dream for a more specific answer.
@PepeDeFrog29 just said he has nude pics of your wife. You gonna let him get away with that?

Oh, you thought of not one but two. Please explain what has held them back. I am unfamiliar with their names or stories.Thought of two: Charlotte Bacon and Lavontay White Jr.
I'll let you catch up...You joined the conversation by calling the original question a "stupid question," and proceeded to deflect by asking your own question. The whole conversation degenerated from there. You ignored the original question and tried to divert attention to inequality. Most people responded that of course there is inequality of opportunity. I agree: there is inequality of opportunity. But that's a far cry from there being NO opportunity, which was the point of the original question. A point you have pointedly ignored.
Welcome back!
I can't tell if you're missing the point of the original question on purpose, because you're that dense, or if you are once again deflecting from giving an appropriate answer.I'll let you catch up...
Let me know when you're ready Pollyanna.I can't tell if you're missing the point of the original question on purpose, because you're that dense, or if you are once again deflecting from giving an appropriate answer.
Lavontay White Jr. was killed in the usual Chicago gang war retaliatory culture. So, outside of senseless black on black crime that everybody seems to shrug their shoulders about, how can we know what his opportunities would have been or not?Thought of two: Charlotte Bacon and Lavontay White Jr.
Shit happens. Sometimes really bad shit. Some of it people opt into, sometimes it finds them. To cavalierly proclaim the American Dream is open to all ignores the simple facts of Life.Lavontay White Jr. was killed in the usual Chicago gang war retaliatory culture. Charlotte Bacon was killed by a psycho who shot up an elementary school. It's interesting that we can somehow manage to protect banks with armed security but not our elementary schools. Again, another homicide, so how can we know what her opportunities would have been or not?
So, I'm assuming you're saying that victims of homicide can't achieve the American Dream. I concur. Probably true for kids that die in car crashes, house fires, drowning, from cancer, and even dog attacks too.
Duh. I see bad shit all of the time from all walks of life. What does that have to do with the OP outside of dead people don't get to pursue anything once dead? Or is that the actual point you wanted to make?Shit happens. Sometimes really bad shit. Some of it people opt into it, sometimes it finds them. Some people eat there way, some people receive prosperity as a birthday right. Some never get the chance to see what they can be.
A little ****ing humility and gratitude would go along way in this country...
It's a crappy question, appealing to a cheerleader mentality. You go ahead and cheer.Duh. I see bad shit all of the time from all walks of life. What does that have to do with the OP outside of dead people don't get to pursue anything once dead? Or is that the actual point you wanted to make?
