LBJ doomed the black culture with his misguided liberal attempt at "helping". Nobody is helped long term by free stuff and giveaways which just leads to generational poverty and off the chart crime. Anyone who has been fortunate enough to do a lot of charity knows how it too often ends...with resentment and the expectation of more and more. I've seen it up close and personal more than I care to remember. People need the incentive to sharpen their skills and be productive. Tough love, if you will. Not sit around whining with their hand out screaming racism as the reason they are where they are.
