The situation in Syria is incredibly complicated and I find myself conflicted.
On one hand I believe that we shouldn't be playing the role of world police and withdraw is keeping the lives of American soldiers out of harms way...
The other hand - I trust minds like General Mattis and we should look into any means necessary to promote American exceptionalism and protect our way of life/views from those that want to see the US fail (ISIS, Russia, China, some others).

Quick addition - I don't believe we should be in Syria for 5, 10, 15+ years and we have another Afghanistan situation.
