Felt like they were vulnerable going into this.Bump
Eh...not realy. OU has enough bogus street cred, they could lose thier next two games and someone would still be trying to find a way to get them into the playoffs over the big 12 champion. Coarse they will have some affiliation to OU. So Stoops or Kirby?Duly noted, sysquatch.
PS: You do realize that every OU win against a team other than OSU greatly benefits OSU, right? (Of course you don’t, dumbass)
They won so it went the way I wanted champ.Congrats to OP on the big Baylor win today. (something tells me this thread didn't take quite the direction you intended)
Congrats on the vicarious win. They won so it went the way I wanted champ.
Seriously (obviously you're not serious)? OSU beating an undefeated OU, then following up with a win over an 11-1 OU the following week might have sprung them into the playoffs (definitely would have made a better case than tOSU or Oregon with 1 loss).Eh...not realy. So who is your qb for the next game?
Eh...again...After 2011, if you don't have the right logo you aren't getting in. We could beat OU twice in a row, which still may happen, and the playoff committee would come up with some excuse, like OSU only beat a bad OU team to get in. I'll take the tears every weekend from OU fans, over the 1% chance the POC lets us in. I still claim 2011 as a Natty, as we were the highest ranked team to play another conference opponent. How can you be a national champion if you only played in the SEC? It tweeks Bama fans as well so....Seriously (obviously you're not serious)? But if sysquatchUp's wildest wet dream comes true, it'll be a 9-2 Sooner team, with a CCG win over Baylor, and a January 1 bowl berth. All because a bunch of "gooners" invaded his precious little political board. Such is the case with people like him who don't put any thought into anything. 😂 😂 😂
Man, that must be rough having to bask in the glow of someone else's defeat.I'll take the tears every weekend from OU fans, over the 1% chance the POC lets us in.
Not realy. Its the same as when rubublicans win over democrats. I'm not either but I loath democrats. It can be fun actually.Man, that must be rough having to bask in the glow of someone else's defeat.
To each his own, I guess. Not realy. Its the same as when rubublicans win over democrats. I'm not either but I loath democrats. It can be fun actually.
It was the rare perfect football day. UTN and Texas lost while the good guys rode over the sexualy frustrated frogs. Ugh Texas lost to Kansas by one point, in overtime, in Austin. They have had thier hearts ripped out this year.To each his own, I guess.
You can define math's simplest equation. Your opponent cannot.Duly noted, sysquatch.
PS: You do realize that every OU win against a team other than OSU greatly benefits OSU, right? (Of course you don’t, dumbass)
It's been quite a few years now since OU has had a defense. Grinch is in his third year. Still looks pretty much like a Mike Stoops defense. I believe Baylor punted once. Kansas didn't punt till the 4th quarter. OU pretty much just has to outscore everybody to win.Felt like they were vulnerable going into this.
I would add Florida, Georgia, LSUThese are the blue bloods:
Ohio state
Michigan
Notre Dame
Alabama
Oklahoma
Texas
USC
Penn State
Nebraska (fading)
Tennessee (fading)
As unfair as it may be, this status gets consideration when the CFP committee selects principals.
Big 12 is down? Other than the three national title years, when has the Big 12 ever been up? OU has more conference titles (13.5 in 25 seasons) than all the other schools combined, having won the last six. That is not so much an indication of OU being good, as it is the Big 12 being really bad. Obviously OU won’t see that kind of success in the SEC. I don’t think any team will. For me, OU can’t leave soon enough. Having 1-3 loss seasons with a conference title has gotten to be, well....It was the rare perfect football day. I will admit that everything bad that happens to UTN and Texas is appropriately a Karma is bitch kind if thing which makes it that much more of a satisfying listening to all the crying.
FYI, apparently the OKC media started thier Big 12 is down mantra just minutes after OU lost. Yea it can't be that teams are getting better, no it must be because we all suck. Lol.
You guys still looking at another 2 more years in the Big 12 or are you pushing for an early exit? Its going to be fun watching all the melt downs when all the blue bloods are in one conference and the realization that only one team can win sinks in.
Who would that be? The team with ten fewer conference titles?Sad way for you and your big brother to leave the big 12.
And that is why everyone in the big 12 hates your team. The arrogance, on full display. One loss and the big 12 is down, and add to that it has been down. I guess then you would agree that you should never have been in the playoffs then. That your last NC is full of crap. I know you don't actually believe that, which is why your statement is based on an emotional response to a loss to a, as you state, a down Baylor team.Big 12 is down? You’re Texas’ bitch. You just are. Own it. You are following, yes following, them to the SEC. It’s pathetic.Who would that be? The team with ten fewer conference titles?
Arrogance? All I’m doing is citing the conference’s history. Do you think it bodes well for a conference that one team has better than half of its championship trophies, and four times that of the next nearest competitor? And that is why everyone in the big 12 hates your team. The arrogance, on full display. One loss and the big 12 is down, and add to that it has been down. I guess then you would agree that you should never have been in the playoffs then. Your team can correct a mistake that has a better chance of making you look like current Husker nation than Alabama. But I also know your team won't do it.
Anyway its a political board so ill give you the last jab as the visitor.
Well, you sure wouldn’t know that looking at the 21st century W/L record. Regardless, I wanted OU to bail for the SEC back when Nebraska left. In fact, it was almost immediately after that that the Big 12 began its slide to second tier status. So whatever route OU has to take to get into the SEC, I’m fine with. You’re Texas’ bitch. You just are. Own it. You are following, yes following, them to the SEC. It’s pathetic.
In case any of you were wondering why OU fans are so beloved by the rest of us.Duly noted, sysquatch.

Florida, Georgia, LSU are not blue bloods. Their all time winning percentage does not qualify them.I would add Florida, Georgia, LSU
Where am I going wrong, Doc? It’s common sense that the fewer losses your opponent has, the better. In case any of you were wondering why OU fans are so beloved by the rest of us.
This is an entirely side discussion and the variables can change greatly from person to person and from the perspective Fandom that may claim such status as well as from those on the outside looking in. Needless to say our perspectives are are from two completely different angles.Florida, Georgia, LSU are not blue bloods. Their all time winning percentage does not qualify them.
Entering the 2021 season:
1. Ohio St. 931-327-53 .7304
2. Alabama 929-331-43 .7295
3. Boise State 465-172--2 .7293 Boise St. does not qualify. Not a 1000 game participant.

10. Nebraska 905-400-40 .6877
11. Tennessee I don't feel like looking up the record. This is Div. I blue bloods. No Ivy League Div. II. Of course blue blood status is opinion. I remember when Slippery Rock was considered blue blood by some of the faithful.
I've also got the all time Lost Lettermen official's jobs list. OU is the only school listed twice. The PAC 10 officials handing a win to Oregon after OU recovered an Oregon onside kick and honorable mention in Lubbock. OU stopped TT on a fourth down and again at the goal line. Big 12 officials spotted the ball two times in TT's favor. PAC 10 officials awarded the ball to Oregon after OU recovered the onside kick and an Oregon player touched the ball before it traveled 10 yards. The new incoming PAC 10 commissioner fired the officiating crew the next season. OSU is not mentioned on the officials jobs list.
The biggest official's job hit was suffered by Mizzou when Big 8 officials awarded Colorado a fifth down and CU scored a winning TD on the play. CU went on to win a National Title.
Yea that about sums it up.Ok what the hell is going on in.............
A history lesson. 😂 😂 😂Ok what the hell is going on in.............
