I was finally able to watch the first 75% of the game. I listened to most of it on the radio and saw the last 10 minutes live.
There were a lot of positives.
-Ice played one of his better overall games in a long time.
-I don't think we have played a better game this season when it comes to tipping/deflecting balls while on D.
-Same goes for forcing shot clock violations
-Plenty has been said about Kalib really breaking out in this one.
-However, I wanted to start a thread praising the play of JL.
I think we were all under the impression that he is a perimeter jump shooter who has not shot well this season. Today (and in recent games), he showed excellent footwork around the basket and parlayed that into some easy scores. One thing I really like is that when he catches beneath the basket, he goes immediately, rather than faking or waiting for the defense to collapse.
He also showed that he is adept at blocking out, and played solid defense. He's a solid player who has really helped this team to start playing well again.
