Watching greatest events of ww2 in colour. Men truly were men back then. Their courage changed the fate of the world.

They are all going to be missed. My dad fought in the Philippines. He started getting a bunch of letters in the mid 80's of his old child hood, HS, and war buddies dying. The ones about his war buddies sent him in to a terrible depression, a lot of alcohol and tears. He said it is hard to understand the bond guys have that fought together, died together, and would give their life to protect the guy next to them. They came home and no one knew about PTSD, they were celebrated as heroes and many returned traumatized and not feeling much like heroes for all the death dealing they had to do. RIP all of you, and thank you for your sacrifice, and not just during the war, all of them lived with the horror of that war for the rest of their lives and the "manly" thing to do back then was a stiff upper lip and to suck it up butter cup and move on with life.
