KU is a young team (starts 4 FR) and have struggled on the road this year. Team defense and defending the 3 point line has been their main issue. Due to injuries and suspensions they have a short and inconsistent bench.
Teams have gone to doubling Lawson in the post and forcing KU's talented but young perimeter players to beat them. At home those guys have shot it well and KU has been very good. On the road they haven't and are very vulnerable to be beat by anyone.
They also struggle if they don't get out to a lead and have had trouble closing out games. I'd imagine we will double Lawson most times and take the same approach others have. Self usually struggles against us and I think that will be the case again today. Look for OSU to get and run offensively at least early. Offensive movement will be key and forcing the young perimeter players to switch, move and guard a complete possession.
We will need to shoot the ball well from 3 and if we do so we will win today. Hopefully we can have a big crowd coupled with a big win and make an impression on an impressive list of recruits in attendance.
