Been following Kobach for a while.
The Uniparty (political left, Chamber of Commerce GOP wing, Never Trump GOPers and Neocons) identified Kobach as a unique threat several years ago because of their status quo position on illegal immigration and mass third world immigration (they wanted that cheap labor).
They tried hard to stop Kobach in the recent Kansas election primaries (tons of out of state money flowed in to the GOP establishment candidate).
After Trump, I don’t think the GOP will ever nominate another milk toast presidential candidate again — it’s going to be patriots and populists only.
Especially when immigration is clearly and visibly the issue that’s most important to the base (see crowd reaction in video) — plus the GOP establishment betrayed the base on immigration (pre-Trump).
