What is it about liberalism that turns people into closed minded idiots? You didn't comprehend one word of what the man was taking about.- Pornography
- Video games
- Abortion
- Government support of children
Yes, real solid bullet points for gun violence there lol. Not surprising you 3 sheep would latch onto this steaming pile of crap haha.
“The government shouldn’t be raising our children. Period”. Brilliant...let’s just shut down all foster homes, orphanages, etc. and let these kids finn for themselves on the streets. That’s a tried-and-true gateway to success...ohhh wait...it’s not and never will be.
Carry on.

The fact that the governor's message was just stating that there are other factors in a very complicated issue is lost on him since it doesn't serve his purpose of fixing the blame, not the problem.

Explain the correlation between pornography and gun violence. I’m all ears.
Explain the correlation between video games and gun violence, when studies suggest they actually decrease violence. I’m all ears.
Explain the correlation between abortion and gun violence, when #facts are that it’s actually anti-abortion nutjobs who are the violent section of this debate (“baby killers” blah blah blah). I’m all ears.
Explain the correlation between government assistance and housing for children to gun violence. I’m all ears.
Fact is you don’t have sh!t for answers lol.
Carry on trying tho
I thought the governor did an outstanding job of explaining those correlations. An edited version would be that violent video games, pornography, abortion, et al dehumanize an individual to the point that human life no longer seems to be of any more value than that of a bug. I am almost 71 years old, and I have lived through a cultural shift in this country that is unprecedented. Add these cultural elements to the fact that our government has engaged in perpetual war for decades. War has inured us to death. We hear that the government has bombed, starved to death, withheld water supplies to millions of people - in our name! - and we just shrug and tell ourselves those people have it coming. There will be no end to it unless we as a people put a stop to the cultural shift. As someone earlier wrote: the governor nailed it.
I don’t know if I can make it any clearer. Gun violence is a product of a cultural shift that has lessened the value of human life.Again, correlate those to gun violence. I’m all ears. Fact is gun violence was worse statistically when much of this board was children. Now tell me I’m wrong.
The only one that made any sense was when he mentioned social media.
I don’t know if I can make it any clearer. Gun violence is a product of a cultural shift that has lessened the value of human life.
That’s a truly subjective opinion lol. You have zero evidence otherwise. And since gun violence is no more a statistical issue than it has been for decades, what is the real issue?
It isn’t the dumbass topics he spouted out, save for social media.
I’m not understanding your argument. The governor says gun violence is a product of a cultural shift that demeans human life. He says gun laws will not resolve the issue, that it is naive to think it will. You say gun violence today is no worse than it has ever been, and you have statistical evidence to prove it. Then why does your side want more onerous gun restrictions?
Because their side are the purveyors of cultural rot. They aren't going to neuter themselves so they go after the inanimate object rather than the mindset.I’m not understanding your argument. Again, I don’t follow your logic. You say gun violence has not increased. Your implication appears to be that gun violence is not a problem. So please explain the need for stricter gun control. So there’s no gun reform proposals that would lessen the issue?
- bump stocks/crank attachments
- mental illness (including reversing Republican initiative last year halting SSA mental health implementation) and stronger background checks (including at gun shows)
No amount of gun control, save a complete overturn of the 2nd amendment (gasp...when has ANYONE on either side advocated that? All ears) is going to completely resolve the issue. Steps can be taken tho, as I listed (which have bipartisan support).

I don’t know the first thing about guns. I had never heard of a bump stock until the Las Vegas mass murder. Had they been used for mass murders in the past? Will banning bump stocks end mass murders? How?
I am baffled by your reluctance - bordering on outright fear - to accept a change in attitude toward human life could be a cause for violence. Is it that you are afraid it will lead to banning abortion, banning pornography, or banning violent video games? The cultural change seems obvious to me.
Again you’re arguing for a completely subjective opinion that culture has changed because of:
- Abortion. Would you prefer the hardline stance of El Salvador? It’s just stupid to think that legalized abortion has anything to do with this lol, unless you’re arguing the violent nature of anti-abortionists.
- Porn, which has been around for decades, and sexual violence has been around since, well, humans.
- Video games, when studies have shown they actually lessen the issue.
Seems obvious to me you just want these social hot buttons to be the issue, just like governor dumbass, when there are tangible proposals to lessen gun violence.
Tangible is the word you use. Tangible means “real, as opposed to imaginary.” Pleases explain how banning bump stocks will end mass murders, how it is a tangible proposal to do so. Please explain in tangible terms how locking up people who are suspected of being mentally ill will put a stop to mass murder. Explain in tangible terms how granting the government even more power over our lives will end the problem, which you say doesn’t exist in the first place.
If I were ever on trial, I can only hope that Toon was the prosecutor.
I’m not a gun person qualified to answer your first question. I’ve read arguments for and against banning bump stocks. So I have no idea how much it helped him in his slaughter. And therefore I don’t know if a ban on bump stocks would end mass murder. No, on second thought let me edit that comment. I am sure a ban on bump stocks will have no effect on the incidence of mass murder. Please answer this: should the ban on bump stocks - or anything that resembles an automatic weapon - apply only to citizens, or would government agents be forbidden from having them as well?Do you believe Paddock, without the use of bump stocks, achieves the level of death and injuries at the Las Vegas shooting? Seriously? And even republicans see the inherent illegality of a transformed automatic weapon, so they need to be banned. Period.
When did I advocate “locking up” the mentally ill? Preventing them from owning guns is certainly reasonable, and one could logically infer that, via the Republicans’ SSA reversal, Nicolas Cruz might’ve obtained weapons he wouldn’t have before said dumbass decision.
Where did I say the issue doesn’t exist? You’re just putting words in your own context to suit your narrative.
You’d be begging for a plea bargain lol.
Carry on.

http://www.askaprepper.com/how-to-build-your-own-ghost-gun/Bump stocks have all been confiscated and banned. Toon and his ilk got what they wanted, trump signed off and all were taken or traded in for papa johns coupons. They don’t exist!
Here is the next day.
Do you own a gun? Given your ongoing mental climate should you be able to purchase a gun?

I did in Washington yes
You’re an idiot lol...that is nothing like a bump stock. NOTHING
Was that before or after you threatened the President and your own life. Hypothetically speaking of course...I did in Washington yes
