Keeping Trump off of the Colorado ballot is...

Totally unconstitutional & will be overturned. I love has these small time actors continue to keep trump in the news & increase his support with this obvious partisan bee ess. Should add another 1% - 3% to his favorability in polls.

As it is I'm envious of the way that the wholing mobs of halfwits cream Jan 6th & insurrection everytime the name of trump comes up. Yea an insurrection with maybe 1,000 people, no organization, no pre-chosen leaders, no firearms & some smiling on camera. Freakin liberal dolts.

Who are the real villains here though? The people who bring these insanely dumb lawsuits or the useful idiots that flesh out the ruling against trump? I think that when you lose frivolous lawsuits you should pay all the costs, even if it is appealed all the way to SCOTUS before you lose.

You know as an aside it makes me wonder what bubble these people are living in to think this ruling will stick? Judges and or lawyers, really? Virtue signaling should be automatic grounds for removal from any judiciary position.

Six Republicans brought the Colorado suit.

It doesn't take an army to stage a coup. The poison of a pygmy rattlesnake will kill you just as dead as a 6-footer.

So if a state can preclude a candidate for simply being indited on a crime then we all know what to do. Just indite the candidate you don't like in the various states and keep them off the ballot. That way they can't get to 270 electoral college votes.
Time for the Oklahoma state attorney to indict Joe Biden (or any other Dem candidate) and just keep him off the ballot. It would be better if it were done in Ohio, Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Nevada. But let's prove a point.

Of the state you listed Florida in my opinion is the only one it would possible. Never happen though.

Judges need to be held accountable for making rulings that are clearly Unconstitutional.

If I'm so f'in dumb please feel free to lead me out of the wilderness. Otherwise I stand by my assertions. I'm interested in your personal list of "insurrections" that were led by 1,000 or so unarmed citizens?

Conversely, talk about dying on hills.....whew, your the poster child for that.

"It has become common in some circles to call the Jan. 6 Capitol riot an “armed insurrection.” That leads to a few questions: How many rioters were armed? And what weapons did they have? What were the arms in the “armed insurrection”?

The Justice Department maintains a website listing the defendants and the federal charges against them in the sprawling Capitol riot investigation. At this moment, about 670 people have been charged, many of them with misdemeanors like “Parading, Demonstrating or Picketing in a Capitol Building.”

Of the 670, I counted 82 who face weapons-related charges. That’s about 12% of the total. The 82 face one or more of four possible charges: “Assaulting, Resisting, or Impeding Certain Officers Using a Dangerous Weapon”; “Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building with a Deadly or Dangerous Weapon”; “Disorderly and Disruptive Conduct in a Restricted Building with a Deadly or Dangerous Weapon”; and “Engaging in Physical Violence in a Restricted Building with a Deadly or Dangerous Weapon.”

For each charge, prosecutors have specified the weapon the defendant is accused of using. Here is a representative list of those weapons: a helmet, a baton, a crutch, a walking stick, a handgun, pepper spray, flagpole, knife, baseball bat, crowd control barrier, police shield, hockey stick, ax, metal sign, desk drawer.

Obviously, guns are the most serious concern. Of the 670, five suspects — Christopher Michael Alberts, Lonnie Leroy Coffman, Mark Sami Ibrahim, Cleveland Grover Meredith Jr. and Guy Wesley Reffitt — are charged with possessing firearms. But none are charged with using them during the riot.

Alberts was arrested at 7:25 p.m., after the riot was over, when police enforcing the District of Columbia curfew suspected he had a handgun under his coat as he was leaving.

Coffman was arrested at about 6:30 p.m. after he told police that he was trying to get to his parked pickup truck. Officers found two handguns on Coffman’s person and two more guns, along with possible bomb-making materials, in the truck.

Ibrahim was a DEA agent who had given his notice to resign and was on personal leave on Jan. 6; at the riot, he was carrying his DEA-issued badge and pistol.

Meredith was not in Washington at all for the riot. He arrived later that evening after allegedly texting a threatening message about House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Meredith told police that “he had two firearms in his truck, and he knew that he was not supposed to have the firearms in Washington, D.C. Therefore, he moved the firearms to his trailer,” according to court documents. Officers found a handgun, a rifle and hundreds of rounds of ammunition in the trailer.

Finally, court papers say Reffitt had a handgun on his person on Jan. 6.

Were there more? Since few arrests were made on the scene, maybe so. We don’t know. What is certain is that none of the suspects fired any guns at any time during the riot, even though the physical fighting became quite intense. The only shot that was fired during that time was by Capitol Police Lt. Michael Byrd, who shot and killed rioter Ashli Babbitt as she tried to force her way into an area near the House chamber.

Some weapons were clearly brought in anticipation of a fight. Some rioters thought they would be battling antifa. But most of the weapons were improvised on the scene. That does not mean they were not dangerous. But it does suggest that the rioters did not arrive at the Capitol bent on armed insurrection.

The big picture: Only a small percentage of the people at the armed insurrection were armed with anything. And that is the problem with the “armed insurrection” talking point. By any current American standard of civil disorder, what happened on Jan. 6 was a riot. There was fighting. There was property destruction. There were some instigators, and there were many more followers. And as the day went on, some people lost their heads and did things they should regret for a very long time. But a look at the Justice Department prosecutions simply does not make the case that it was an armed insurrection."

Also this is the slippery slope created by these impeachments.

Can you imagine the left's outrage if a state like Texas removed Biden from the 2024 ballot for not enforcing immigration laws leading to millions of illegals coming into the country? Using the left's thinking to remove Trump, there is no need to charge Biden with anything, merely not agreeing with his handling of the border would be enough.

Based on the standard achieved, couldn't Texas, Florida, and a whole slew of border states use the open border as proof that Biden has deliberately violated his constitutional oath and per the same amendments be unfit to be on the ballot? I wonder how the media would spin the story if Biden got left off the Texas or Florida ballots.

Using Democrat logic yes but Constitutionally no.

In the fiscal year of 2022, there were 2,214,652 alien apprehensions and expulsions registered by the United States Border Patrol - a significant increase from the previous fiscal year when there were 1,662,167 registered alien apprehensions.

and your documentation is where? I don't believe you of course because all the little troll libs would be crying about if it were true. The administration of dunces would be talking about it as a counterweight to the crap storm they are catching now for apparently doing nada. Even from their own voting blocks.

"Enforcement and Removal Operations
ERO conducted 142,750 administrative arrests in FY 2022, nearly doubling the number it made in FY 2021. ERO arrested 46,396 noncitizens with a criminal history; those arrested had an average of 4.3 charges and convictions per individual, including more than 20,000 charges or convictions for assault, 5,500 for weapons offenses, 1,500 for homicide-related offenses, and 1,100 for kidnapping. Removals also included 2,667 known or suspected gang members, 55 known or suspected terrorists, seven human rights violators, and 74 foreign fugitives wanted by their governments for crimes including homicide, rape, terrorism, and kidnapping.

The directorate conducted 72,177 removals to more than 150 countries worldwide. During this time, ERO also conducted over 200,000 additional transportation segments, including domestic transfers and Title 42 expulsions, for a total of 249,435 individual movements of noncitizens."

I never recommend pulling numbers out of your ass to make your point bucko. BTW your only off by ~88%. Common core, thrown off a horse...what?

You entered "In the fiscal year of 2022, there were 2,214,652 alien apprehensions and expulsions registered by the United States Border Patrol - a significant increase from the previous fiscal year when there were 1,662,167 registered alien apprehensions.Nov 3, 2023"

Critical thinking not being your strong suit "apprehensions and expulsions" are not one in the same as you can obviously be arrested & not expelled. Probably the WH writing that nonsense. Also never pick the first fact when your google your request.

What else is funny (or pathetic) about this is all my lib friends who absolutely hate the EC & think the president should be elected by a popular vote. Which is pretty convenient considering activist liberal scum judges/states can remove my choice for president, based on nothing but hysteria & accusations. Oh & don't forget, red states could do the same thing.

Terrible precedence & once again proves that this magnificent country will Balkanize one day. Reminds me of the cautionary tale from Harry Reid's foray into reconciliation & those voices that said "don't," it will come back to bite you.

This CVNT breaks it down. 🤣
Argument can be made that every Democrat in Congress committed an insurrection by trying to impeach Trump on what they knew to be false accusations. According to Democrats each and everyone of them should be removed from the ballot but I somehow have this feeling, that's different.

The problem with your statement is that apprehensions don't equal expulsions with this administration. So as such, your numbers are fake. Congrats that the BPS stopped them, wrote them a ticket (for all intents and purposes) and then sent them on their merry way further into the US.

This is democrat immigration in action. And because we've significantly reduced the expulsion rate, the volume of immigrants has surged.
