Kanye Derangement Syndrome

This seems important.

The former police superintendent, Garry McCarthy, is doubtful the new task force will make a difference.

“This is not a new concept. We had an enhanced deployment from the ATF under my watch,” he tells CBS 2’s Mai Martinez.

“We’re not going to reduce gun crime in Chicago until we change the political environment that is anti-police, which, as you’ve heard me say before, is emboldening criminals and hamstringing the police.”

Additional personnel to what has been used previously.

He has a great point. Why is the Democratic leadership of Chicago so anti-police?

I noticed you conveniently skipped over...

"To that end, a special ATF van has already been used to compare shell casings to the National Integrated Ballistic Information Network. It’s already been used 96 times in about two weeks.

“The process of taking that gun, test-firing it, comparing the shell casings and getting information on other shootings that gun was involved in, that will take hours,” Riccio said.

The feds say they’re also stepping up prosecution of gun cases. So far this year, they’ve prosecuted more than all of last year combined."

Lol

Look around...read something...they can’t stand his bullsh!t.

I have. It seems fairly divided to me, but even then....I don’t feel qualified to speak on behalf of most black people and find it odd that you seem to believe you are.

I’m personally a big fan of speaking only on my own behalf or on behalf of those have specifically authorized me to do so over speaking on behalf of an entire race as if the are largely monolithic.

The fact that it was ridiculously taken out of context and clarified the context doesn’t matter?

Really?

I think it kind of does matter.

You think he did that because he didn’t mean what he said? Or perhaps because he has taken heat for it and had to?

If you believe the former...agree to disagree

I’m not a mind reader so I don’t know why he did it.

Neither are you.

That’s why I choose to evaluate the words, including his explanation of what he meant in subsequent clarifications, for whatever value or lack thereof there is glean from them. That seems more rational and fair-minded than claiming to “know” what he meant in the original statement and dismissing any subsequent clarification or explanation HE makes about what HE as something he had to do and didn’t really mean.

We’re talking about a guy who yelled at people in wheelchairs at a concert to stand up. His clarifications do him little good

To someone like you who claims to know what he meant in the original statement and dismiss any subsequent clarifications as something he had to do, but didn’t really mean...of course it does him little good.

You do that a whole lot....tell people what THEY know to be true. You don’t know what they know to be true...you can’t. You can know what YOU to believe is true.

You are doing it in this thread. It’s clear you believe it is true he is an idiot, but you take that extra step of professing to know that “most black people” agree with you.

You have a habit of putting words in people’s mouths, so you really shouldn’t speak as if you’re the moral authority here.

Read Facebook, read Twitter. Blacks are pissed. It’s not that hard to see, but you act like I’m just shooting from the hip.

It’s also hilarious this thread’s intent in the first place...given Kanye’s instability and personal derangement...including an admitted opioid addiction. Calling him on it is then classified into the “derangement syndrome” pile lol.

What a hoot this board is.

I haven’t put any words in your mouth. You put the the statement about what most blacks believe about Kanye in your own mouth. I’m not speaking to moral authority at all anyway....I’m speaking to reason and logic. You simply cannot reasonably and logically know what others believe or think and assert that most of them think a certain way all alike that happens to agree with you, btw.

You are simply incapable of knowing what most blacks believe about Kanye.

I read Facebook. I read twitter. Some blacks are pissed. Some are listening to what he is saying. Some are supporting his right to say it while disagreeing with what he is saying. Some are agreeing with him.

You are treating a community of individuals as a monolithic lockstep entity.....they just aren’t. Besides, it’s not as if “more people agree with me” is even compelling evidence that what you are asserting to be true actually is. The “masses” are wrong at least as often as they are right.

And yet mentioning similar instability exhibited here by you in the past is viewed as unfair harassment against you. Here we are....you dismissing anything he now says as coming from an unstable, personally deranged individual...while objecting to the same treatment by some when it comes to you.

That is, indeed....a hoot.

Much like swinging on a pendulum, no?

Yup...a hoot indeed.
