Kaepernick... how will history view him?

It’s an interesting question. Not on the same level as a Clara Luper or a Harriett Tubman. They were successful in their fight against racism. But years from now, he will be admired.

And he should be admired in some way for bringing attention to a clear issue in the AA community.

However, he’s gone about it in the wrong way. You can’t show any level of disrespect for the military. Americans have an unbelievable hard on for military culture and any sign of disrespect will bring heaps of criticism.

Bill Burr has a great bit about the insane level of worship for anything military in America.

Hopefully, he will be remembered for his true self. A pretty good QB early in his career, but then started having trouble with his teammates. As his performance declined significantly over three seasons, he hooked up with a girlfriend who outwardly supported 9/11 terrorists and made football a second priority. After having what “Football Outsiders” deemed the worst season of any QB in 2015, he was replaced by a journeyman QB. After being demoted, he started kneeling for the anthem. He also demeaned first responders and police officers by wearing socks that depicted police as pigs. He decided to double down on police hate by supporting and funding a cop killer. He then insulted Cuban-Americans by wearing clothing of Fidel Castro and Che Guevera even though they had murdered thousands and suppressed freedoms of millions.
He decided to opt-out and walk away from his contract with the 49ers even though it was still active. Later, he was offered a contract by another NFL team, but the reported contract was not enough money for him.

He should be remembered for his true self. The single largest fake victim in the history of professional sports. A fake and a fraud.
