A new coach , 5 new players , our top two players shoot 10 for 33, first road game in front of 17,000 fans against a top 25 team and we lose by one sounds like we have a bright future in front of us.
Have not read any threads so that my thoughts would not be influenced. I see that the Terps went to the line 19 more times which is not that odd when playing a known team with a great crowd. The refs did seem to be over zealous the last 8 minutes . This game can be a great learning experience if it is taken as such. I am sure Brad would appreciate and expect the same treatment at GIA.
We controlled the game for 30 plus minutes and then allowed our emotions to take over.
We had multiple open looks and bricked way too many of them.
Underwood gave the go ahead to Juwan to do his thing on offense and Evans did not perform as well as usual.
I am disappointed on the loss but we played maybe our C+ game and should have won.
Looking forward to Saturday to see if this team will avoid playing down to the level of the opponent.
This is a NCAA team whose ceiling will depend on a good Forte and Hammonds
