I got a special pass to see Dunkirk tonight, from the IAVA, who I have donated to in the past.
Small Spoilers below.
Don't expect to see the scale and totality of what happened there, it focuses on a few primary characters and follows them through the days events. Also, it doesn't follow linear time - often the same event pops up, but from the eyes/perspective of different people - so you often see the same thing happen a few times.
It was far from a "traditional" type war movie, but I thought it a decent telling focusing on a handful of individuals rather than trying to tell a much larger story of the overall battle and evacuation.
