It is the age old democrat way to do things. When they have nothing legitimate to say they attack, call people names and comment like above

Wife and I are sitting at a table at a local microbrewery. Table next to us includes a half a dozen 21+ year old guys and gals. We are discussing the Roe v Wade supreme court decision and some comparison comments made on CNN and Fox. A guy and girl from the other table lean over and boldly say "you two are dumb SOB's and f* you. I say why don't you enjoy your beers and leave us alone. Then their friends join in and before long it becomes a scene in the brewery. Then several 40 year old bikers come over from across the room, take a huge exception with the young people to the point cops were called and the young people were escorted out based on feedback from others in the brewery. To this day, I never really understood why they said what they did but we came away with a very bad perception of the young people as did most people in the brewery.

Having dinner with friends a couple weeks ago. The guy's daughter comes over as we are discussing Biden's energy policy. The daughter has boldly stated multiple times, "I am a liberal democrat and very proud of it." I have said before ok now what. Back to story...She then proceeds to take exception with my comment "Biden does not have an energy policy". Her comment you don't know what you are talking about and f*you". Her dad is beyond pissed at this point and says you may leave now and don't let the door hit you in the ass.

Bad perception again. Like I heard and said many times - once perception is established it is extremely difficult to change it.

Enter Clinton David Scott: His comments "Your a Fvcking Idiot now carry on" resonates and again feeds my perception of democrats and liberalism.

I can only predict pandemonium at this point. None of the last set of primary candidates will be relevant. Kamala and Pete have absorbed the stink of the Biden administration and won't be relevant IMO. It's the wrong time to be an oldster so Bernie is out IMO. Klobuchar was a fizzle last cycle so won't be getting much backing. We probably have Newsome in the mix which is ****ing crazy. Cooper looks appealing if only because he is removed from the current failure. Don't sleep on Sherrod Brown - he could be surprising.

Neither of you should sleep on Newsom. I agree that Newsom has some challenges to overcome, but recent polling has Newsom beating both Trump and DeSantis. Newsom's big challenge though would be in convincing enough Democratic primary voters to choose him over other candidates. I don't know if he can do that. He will probably have enough money though to give it a fighting chance if Biden doesn't run.

Newsom is already running ads against DeSantis here in Florida.

Looking at polls, when Biden isn't included, Harris is the leading choice among Democrats for the '24 nomination. She usually polls around 30% to 25% support. So Harris, right now, is the frontrunner.

Also in the mix is Sanders and Buttigieg, although Buttigieg numbers aren't as strong as Harris or Sanders'.

There are some other candidates worth watching (Cooper, for example), but currently, none of them are polling well. We are of course still along way off from the primaries so all of this could easily change.

I would think though, at this point, if Biden doesn't run, the nomination will be Harris' to lose. The question will be whether there will be one candidate who can emerge to challenge Harris, and whether that candidate can unite enough progressives and other Democrats to beat Harris. The only person I can see doing that at this point is Sanders, but even Sanders has his own built in challenges. Maybe a dark horse, but running against an incumbent Vice President will make it more difficult for a dark horse to emerge.
