Joe Biden is pardoning Hunter Biden

I've never actually read the pardon for Nixon which happened over 50 years ago. Was it this open-ended?
It might not be a 100% parallel but its close to what you mentioned and the precedent was already there for your Trump/Vance scenario. Ford pardoned Nixon for any and all crimes that might have been committed during his Presidency. Nixon maintained that he never committed any crimes. No specific crime was mentioned in the pardon and there was a timeframe element to it as Nixon's presidency had a definite beginning and end.

Also Nixon was not impeached but threatened with it. IMHO, after Clinton was let off the hook , Nixon was owed an apology.

Presidential impeachments have been and will probably continue to be a toothless joke going forward.

It's been more than a few years, but Nixon spoke at my OSU graduation in '74.

If my memory is correct Trump had said he would or would consider giving Hunter a Pardon. Thinking I heard him say that a few weeks ago?

He never said if he would or wouldn't. He said he wouldn't have to because Joe was going to do so. All the media talking heads went back and replayed the quotes from Joe about "I'm not pardoning Hunter." Turns out, Trump was right. Shocker.

Their preposterous self-conception as the champions of all that is good and right — as well as their castigation of their opponents as all that is evil and wrong — compels some of them to lie and renders the rest of them blind to truths that strike the rest of us as self-evident.
Now, though, with the curtain closing on his failed presidency and lamentable political career, there is one truth too stark to deny. Joe Biden has destroyed not just his own legacy, but that of those who went to bat for him.

I'm pretty sure no one here is really that surprised. Joe has spent his whole lying life being a grifter he just made sure he goes to his grave without be charged or prosecuted.

He has every right to do this as well, it stinks but this is the way this thing works. I remember when slick willie pardoned Rich and he was a scumbag on the level of ole Joe.

It is like illegal immigration, if you don't like this then change the process or make a law that prevents it from happening. Why I'm cheering for the end of birthright citizenship. You solve a lot of problems just doing that.

The only thing I worry about is what happens to whistleblowers who see something they know is skullduggery but don't say anything for fear what they bring to light won't be worth the ostracization and threats will be worth it. Plus you'll have to flee from what will probably be a very cushy job in club fed.

Trump is going to pardon all the J6 people.......for the libcomdems will that be a problem? How about for the media? I'm sure they will take issue but it shouldn't be an issue.

Exiting while creating sky high inflation, instigating WWIII, pardoning his crackhead crook of a son. Maybe "the big guy" got the last laugh?
Or maybe not.

Hunter can’t be prosecuted so the 5th no longer applies, meaning he can be compelled to testify in front of Congress of face jail time for contempt (like Navarro and Bannon did).

It’s who Hunter could implicate who needs to worry now.

The real question is, does Trump pardon Joe, Jim and perhaps even Jill Biden?

I think it goes without question Jim and Jill Biden get a pardon, the only question remaining is whether Joe tries to pardon himself. Remember Democrats said Trump was going to pardon himself at the end of his last term and Democrats are always guilty of what they accuse their political opposition of doing.

Five of the six Watergate burglers were CIA guys. Nixon knew absolutely nothing about the break-in. When you can assassinate JFK and swimmingly get away with it, framing Nixon and then forcing him from office is a piece of cake.
