Joe Biden: he’s evitable

I made this point about Biden long before he made his latest gaffe on abortion. He's at the peak and has all the name recognition, but he's exactly the kind of candidate that half the party absolutely won't support. The party of diversity isn't about to nominate a WASP as its candidate.

What was it that he said about China a few weeks ago?
"China is no threat, come on man they are good people folks!"
Flip flopped on that today.

More flipflops than Florida's Beaches during Summer Vacations. I hope he steps on a pop top.

Biden has two things going for him:

(1) His connection to Obama, who is very popular with Americans (and especially Democrats) and who Americans would easily elect to a third term if they could. Biden represents that third term.

(2) His Uncle Joe feel. Most people like Uncle Joe, even if they don't agree with him. This is something Hillary Clinton never had. And this is what worries the Trump campaign.

With that said, Biden isn't a lock IMO at this point. There are many in the Democratic Party who are not sold on Biden. Odds are he will face a seriously challenger for the nomination. The longer it takes for that challenger to emerge during the primaries, the better the chance that Biden will get the nomination.
