Please share this with anyone who you think may be a candidate, also if you know anyone in the University's AG Dept (prof's dept heads, etc.) who might be able to identify candidates please let me know - I would love to see an OSU connected person get this job. If you have email addresses for faculty in Ag Sciences that I can forward this to directly, please let me know.

OK, one of my clients has designed and built scientific and medical laboratories and similar facilities for 30+ yrs.

Many years ago he built a lab that was dedicated to research dedicated to a wide range of research and topics in the field of agriculture. Now, the original owner wants to build a brand new state-of-the-art facility with greatly expanded abilities and the latest technology in lab equipment, testing, etc.

My client is looking for someone with up-to-the-date experience and education who can identify top-of-the-line equipment and testing protocols for carrying out research and acting in a "consulting" capacity to help secure and source this equipment for the lab. The potential is there for the successful candidate to move into a top-level management capacity when the facility is completed.

The original guy used for the project 25+ yrs ago was the Head of the School of Agriculture at U of Florida. So this job will require that the candidate have solid credentials and degrees commensurate with the opportunity.

This is one of those situations where money will likely be no object. The $$$$ people behind this want to build a world class facility, which will include elements of university level teaching, research, testing, etc. Now, the initial position as a consultant may not be for the top line money, but whoever does the job will have a world class salary in their grasp if they impress the powers that be.

Details will be shared with serious candidates. There's only so much that can be disclosed at this time, but this is one hell of an opportunity for the right candidate.

You are going to need a doctorate with a ton of research experience and more than one person. That is some serious equipment and a whole lot of it. Sounds like a cool opportunity though.

shelly.sitton@OKSTATE.EDU

She's over the ag comm dept but has an email list serve that she sends out job opportunities to all past and current ag students.

The soon-to-be misses is completing her Master's in Ag Econ this semester and has a research background in animal research, but I am unsure of what all she knows about the equipment, lab setup, etc.

You can shoot her an email at any time and see if she can help/be a candidate/forward you to others.

Her name is Courtney Acton and her email is cacton@okstate.edu . I have given her a heads up if you happen to email her.
