CT,
We had to be right by you. We were in the middle of A, 3 rows back. Honduee was on the first row of A.
To see both those guys at once was something not to be missed. I agree though that this is likely my last show there. My wife loves mellencamp. I took her to see him there, for her birthday, and it was, as you said, an hour show with no encore.
That being said ... I thought both guys were terrific. I struggled to understand Sturgill some. I don't know if it was him, or the mix. Fortunately I knew the words and that helped. There are a few songs, from both, that I wish had been played, but overall, I thought both were solid representations. I was one of the few fortunate to see Isbell's pop up show this summer in bricktown. Seabolt was with me, and he and I both feel that we are way in the green, because of that. I think both guys are among the best out there today. Would see both again.
Side note ... Honduee's wife rode in the elevator with Isbell and got a picture with him.
Side note number two. Smokin' Joe's barbecue was again legit.
