It’s hard to disagree with most of what she said, but is that the only book being read to their children at an assembly some parents find objectionable, or there others that might be more specific and she cherry picked? If it’s the only book of that nature being read out loud at assemblies is it fair for some parents to be concerned that it is the “camel’s nose under the tent,” that next assembly there will be something more sexualizing, and the next assembly something more sexualizing, etc?

Schools have no business pushing family makeup on children. The entire reason for their existence is to teach children academic subjects, not social issues. Based on testing scores around the nation, public education is failing and needs to get back to the very purpose they were created.

There is book material in these schools that is very sexually graphic and no one wants to ban them. They just don't want their 3rd grader to be exposed and taught with it.
