When Kamala eventually becomes president, she’s going to owe Ivanka a huge private debt of gratitude for giving her administration incredible new powers.

If Ivanka gets her way like she did with Syria.

Kamala Harris is a moron to think this is viable, much less a solution. Read today that of the 33 counties in NM, 30 sheriffs have said they will not enforce some of the laws promulgated in Santa Fe. They said they answer to the will of their voters and they won't enforce laws that are opposed in their counties. There can't and won't be any confiscations of weapons and anyone who believes there will be under current laws, please go get yourself spayed or neutered. No reason for you to be procreating.

There is no reason to not have longer waiting periods (doubt it would stop much) or a red flag system similar to the national fingerprint/DNA LE systems. Where you get into really murky waters is when someone is flagged for no reason and the potential ruinous effects it could have on their life's.

In the end though this is all about total and unfettered gun control, where the government will be tasked with protecting all law abiding citizens from criminals.....whomever feels safe at that prospect is like a bicyclist in Tajikistan. The best meme I've seen in a long time stated thus;
"Better to have a gun in your hand than a whole police force on the phone."

The Kushners have not been good for America.

Between the Republicans, Democrats and the Kushners, you can make a compelling, evidence-based case that the Democrats rank last in effectiveness (out of those those three groups) in stopping the 2016 MAGA agenda.

The other two groups who may have been most effective in stopping the 2016 MAGA agenda are the federal bureaucracy and judges.

Out of those five listed groups above, all of them have contempt (or worse) for the 2016 Trump MAGA base.

I classify the “2016 Trump MAGA base” as people who were supporting Trump during the 2016 GOP primaries — when the GOP establishment (including Fox News) was maneuvering harder to stop Trump from being nominated — than it did on trying to stop Obama on anything.

The Red Flag laws proposed have a real problem and that’s due process.

If laws currently on the books were applied as they are written and schools actually spoke up about these individuals the Dayton and Parkland shooters would be in jail or a mental hospital. Over 30 people would have been saved with enforcement of the law and not acting like nothing is going on to gain additional school funding/grants for cutting crime statistics (Parkland)

I just want to say you guys may be bizarre. You bat about .110 lifetime, but when you're right you're right.

_________

Orlando, these guns triple in value - and thereby thwart simpletons from acquiring them - and protect current ownership if you simply impose strict liability going forward.

Guns tripling in value would prevent wackos from getting them?

The people who would need protection the most won’t be able to afford it.

It would reduce firearm deaths 50% in a generation. And mass shooting casualties. A large # of these people aren't all that high functioning.

Tripling the cost of firearms would reduce firearm deaths by 50% in a generation? Who is controlling the prices of private sales across the country? Not the government...

Why are HIPAA laws not being looked at for serious mental illnesses? Why is there not more responsibility for doctors and the surrounding family and friends to step up and call a spade a spade?

Should background checks be required for sales between two citizens? I wouldn’t be opposed. Should certain magazine sizes be restricted to certain places like a shooting range?

Should gun free zones and soft targets be re-evaluated? Should we use federal funding for metal detectors and more armed guards/security officers? How about not encouraging schools to not call the cops because they are scared their funding might be restricted.
