Watched the game late. Was out with the family. Luckily I told the DVR to record an extra 30 minutes, so I saw all but the final 21 seconds of OT.

-that was some crazy bad officiating. The goaltend call was an honest mistake, and I knew it was not reviewable. But, in the second half, we were on the short end of bad calls frequently. Called for fouls we didn’t commit. No call on fouls committed by ISU. I’m so tired of looking like the road team while at home. It is well past ridiculous.

-we have a lot of similarly talented players. About the time I am ready to say that one of them can’t play meaningful minutes, he has a good/great game.

-HCMB did a good job of managing his roster in this one. It wasn’t easy. I thought he used LN just right, recognized that Dz wasn’t a fit for this game, and called the right number (McGriff) when Solomon fouled out.

-this was a team win. Smith, BA, JC, MS, Shine, FM all had shining moments in this game.

-the big scoring drought, in the first half, that started when we had the big lead, was due to poor spacing. Our guys were making it easy to defend them by not spreading the floor and creating cutting/passing lanes. I would have liked to see MB call a timeout there and fix it.

-not sure who posted it, but I agree that we need to play more sound defense and stop extending out past the 3 point line. Too many easy buckets for the other team. I hope coach makes some changes here.

-I agree that it is tough to see OSU winning more than 5 games in this conference, but, it is true that all of our losses have come against ranked teams, so who knows. Maybe we will feel differently in 2 or 3 weeks.
