Isaiah Thomas thinks so. I can’t say I disagree. It’s a bizarre, unhealthy and unproductive obsession. Cynically using it as a political tool is unconscionable.
President Donald Trump’s decision to put away his racist dog whistle and bring out his racist bullhorn has just one plausible explanation: desperation.
Disregard, as usual, what Trump claims about his political standing and his prospects for winning a second term. He is acting as if he knows he is likely to lose the election, perhaps by a humiliating margin -- and fears what will happen to him and his dodgy business empire once he’s out of office.
Hence Trump’s undisguised appeals to white racial resentment and anger: the vicious and absurd demand that four House members of color “go ba” to other countries; the unprovoked and sustained Twitter screed against well-liked veteran Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., and, unbelievably, the entire city of Baltimore; the gratuitous and slanderous claim that the Rev. Al Sharpton “Hates Whites & Cops!” Nothing subtle in any of this.—Eugene Robinson, Washington Post
You deserve itDid you really need to douche up my thread with your lunatic conspiracy theories?
You deserve it
I’m a white boy. That’s probably true. But still.
Do you disagree? Are people of different races different beyond superficial cosmetic variations?
Are you a colorless person?
The only
I’m a white boy.
And I’m for reparations.
Is your last name Arquette? The only
I’m a white boy.
And I’m for reparations.

I hope they do too.I saw one recreations proposal that involved a tax only on white people to pay for it.
I really hope the Democrats push that one.

If I'm proud of my eye color and height and what my parents named me, is that wrong?Being proud of your skin color is like being proud of having fingernails or something.
If I'm proud of my eye color and height and what my parents named me, is that wrong?
Good, because it was a mockery of things should not be "proud of" past the age of about 9.The first two, kind of weird. Because you didn't do anything. It just happened to you. Your name? Sure, I'm proud of my name.
Totally agree race is made up and was made up when europeans were colonizing the world.Isaiah Thomas thinks so. I can’t say I disagree. It’s a bizarre, unhealthy and unproductive obsession. Cynically using it as a political tool is unconscionable.

It is ignorance nothing else.
Why do you have to bring the color into everything. There have been nations who have colonized part of the world through out the history of mankind. The color issue was raised by europeans to let the local population realize their superiority. So, we agree, but... it's the fault of white imperialists?

It was taken to its height by the nazi's and Hitler.
So how much in reparations does someone who never owned slaves owe someone who never was a slave? The only
I’m a white boy.
And I’m for reparations.
Oh, it won't be you doing the paying, it'll be the magical government genie that also funds free college and free loan payoffs. So how much in reparations does someone who never owned slaves owe someone who never was a slave?
What do reparations look like to you? Do you have to trace your genealogy to a documented slave? Is it only available to the Southern slaves? What about indentured servants? What do you feel is the appropriate amount? How do you distributed it? Who pays for it (new taxes, funding from other programs, etc)? And does your solution end the charade or will we be back here in 20 years arguing that we haven't done enough.
@CowboyUp - Saw you created another thread. Was looking for your feedback on this one. Would love to know what reparations that you support (your words) look like.
