Investment in Oklahoma

This is awesome. I can’t wait for the spin.
I don’t mean this as “spin” but that’s probably how you’ll take it. DJT has given two “top priorities” for his tariff policy: reduce the trade deficit and increase manufacturing jobs in the US. With this $5 billion foreign investment planned for Oklahoma (which I agree is great news if it happens) we will see new jobs in our state. However it will add to the trade deficit since it will be a foreign entity making the profit and taking it back to its country. Is this a “win” in the Donald Trump world (new jobs) or a loss (add to the trade deficit)?

You’re leaving out a lot of the parts to the equation.

You are also wrong, by the way.

If it’s produced in the US and exported, then it’s a US export. Doesn’t matter if it’s foreign owned. If it’s not exported it’s irrelevant.
The profit from the foreign investment is added to the trade deficit.
